OG VIDEO: • Jose Jose - El Triste ...
ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?
Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot.
Subscribe to Rebecca Vocal Athlete to get inspired by new videos!
Have a great day!!
Rebecca

Autotune can be used in pretty interesting ways these days. Some artists who cant sing dont have the talent limitation to express themselves, also, it can be used in experimental ways doing things a human voice cant do.

Sinatra was in love with Jose Jose’s voice... He invited him to make a duet but it wasnt possible because Jose Jose’s record label didnt allow him. About this presentation, it was a latinamerican music contest, and surprisingly he didnt win. It was the first time ever that he showed this song to the world, even before the recorded version.

TheBluearmy33 I think because Sinatra had his own record label and wanted to sign him, but Jose Jose’s label knew he was going to be a super star and thats why they wanted to keep him exclusive for them, all about money... some people say that after that depression Jose Jose became alcoholic

The crazy thing is that he sang by ear. Maybe some monitors but thats it. Music was live and the performance was amazing. I too wish there was a cleaner version but like I said before..... the music was live and I think everything was being picked up by a few mics. Nonetheless the sound is great. Imagine if each instrument had its own mic and everything was equalized ?

English lyrics ! : How sad was to say good bye when we loved the most Even the sparrow migrated foreshadowing the end. I don't know If I ever gonna see you again I don't know where my life is going without the blue lights from your being they are not illuminating my way anymore. Everything looks depressive without you The sea from the beach is gone The colors turn grey Today everything around is loneliness. Today I want to enjoy my pain I don't want Mercy nor compassion. This love story was written for the eternity. Every body says I'm blue Every body says I'm always talking about you. They don't know that thinking of your love Has helped me through life.

This is very nice of you, I am sure there's a lot of latino fans that appreciate this. For a lot of us, growing up, singers like José José, Juan Gabriel or Rocío Durcal, are like soundtrack for our childhood, it's the music our moms and aunts would listen to (I remember my mom playing her records on the old turntable), so other than recognizing the masterful performance (even though this probably ain't the kind of music we would listen by ourselves), there's also a big nostalgic feeling to it, like, childhood and early memories sounds. On a personal note, and being from where I am, it also kinda reminds me of a time and place that doesn't exists anymore, it's almost like traveling in time.

@@boban8733 Not to disparage the great talent of Tose Proeski (RIP) but sorry to say, he never would achieve this, as the current singer said once: "Not even me could perform again that song like it was in that day", It's not a matter of technics only (that it's obvious he masterfully handeld all the time), I believe is that feeling, that warm in his vocals and all-rounded atmosphere created, that at least for we as latinoamericans or people that also understand the meaning of the lyrics that this song never woud'be singed the same again, not at this day. And for those who can't believe he won't won that day, it's true, he ended 3r. And even this days a lot of people think he deserved to win, that's why he earned the title in that moment of "the great loser", consolidating since that day as one of the great singers of all times in latinoamerica and I could say the world without a doubt. El Triste How sad it was to say goodbye When we loved each other more Until the swallow emigrated Heralding the end How sad everything looks without you The seas of the beaches leave The colors of gray are dyed Today everything is loneliness I don't know if I see you again later I don't know what my life will be Without the blue star of your being That doesn't light me anymore Today I want to taste my pain I don't ask for compassion or mercy The story of this love was written For eternity The sad everyone says that I am I'm always talking about you They don't know that thinking of you love, In your love I have been able to help myself to live I have been able to help live Today I want to taste my pain I don't ask for compassion or mercy The story of this love was written For eternity

He used to be very good friends with one of my grandpas neighbor in Mexico City right around that time. My grandpa was lucky to have hanged with him many times and said when he would sing to them he would make them tear up. He was a party animal and that’s no secret but he was also very charismatic and passionate. Latinos are lucky to had have him and his music will forever be in our hearts ♥️
