Rebekah Neumann is the freeweilding, underpaid yoga teacher, who had an equal part in the downfall of the WeWork company owned and operated by herself and her husband Adam Neumann. She and him created a cult-like work environment together that had employees thinking they were witnessing a true turn in business. That was until they found themselves out of a job and their stock options worthless after the couple would let the company burn around them due to frivolous spending and a party lifestyle that went against the supposed values of the company they created. Rebekah touted herself as an eco warrior, yet taking private planes, partying till dawn, and trashing the WeWork offices after parties meant that the employees they hired were the ones left to pick up the pieces. adam neumann wife. wework ceo wife rebekah. wework wecrashed.

Delusional Yogi is the best description I’ve heard yet. Thank you for being honest about her true character. The TV series tries to make her look sympathetic.
@BLESSFUL-Bliss
@BLESSFUL-Bliss 2 жыл бұрын
Does it? I find that it simply makes her look _pathetic._ As well as sad, desperate, and insecure. The episode prior to the most recent one really emphasized that, namely with all of the sudden and unjust firings based solely on her controlling nature, insecurities about feeling left out, and her Ego. America Ferreira's speech, which was a pivotal point in the series, was so key b/c it punctuated that point, and comforted the viewer with the fact that people in her life also recognized all of that and thus felt similarly to the viewer. I think you simply have some human compassion for her.

@@BLESSFUL-Bliss Yes! I agree, I don't think she was depicted favourably at all; delusional, desperate, hypocritical and phony, yes. I've seen all but the last two episodes and thus far, she's depicted as a walking identity crisis - she's neither a good actress, businesswoman or mother, even. But then again, their net worth is 1.5 billion so I guess she got one up on cousin Gwyn after all.

They’re completely full of it!💥 After that 1.6 Billion he won in settlement, he should’ve atleast sent a check for 10K to all the former employees that were out of a job- he didn’t bother to do that. Doesn’t sound like he bothered to do anything. There was no genuine care for his employees at all and that’s quite sad. Adam is a reckless sociopath. Rebekah likes to pass herself off as some sort of enlightened deity even though she’s never really conquered any real obstacles or accomplished much in life. She lives in a bubble. I’ll be watching the saga though 🍿🍿🍿

I was not familiar with the WeWork saga until I watched WeCrashed. What a crazy ride. While I admire optimism, these two were so delusional and sadly they were not reined in until it was too late. They never had a solid sustainable business model and only looked at the company’s revenue while ignoring the more important bottom line. The fact that they walked away with so much money and did nothing to help bail out their workers says it all. Total hypocrites.

The reason these documentaries / books / shows are insanely inaccurate (and believe me, WeCrashed is soooooo far off it can't even be considered non-fiction; don't get me started on the Hulu doc, what a joke) is that almost everyone involved in the early days (myself included) are under fairly strict NDAs. So any source they use has to be anonymous or from some person who, I guarantee, was not there, or has some specific axe to grind. Basically, we're all not allowed to discuss specifics regarding our time there. So unfortunately, you probably won't hear any first hand accounts for a long, long time. As anyone who got screwed is sworn to secrecy, and due to the stock collapse is not in a position to defend any potential litigation, and anyone who wasn't, was far enough in the "inner-circle" that they are not going to talk. Bottom line: Most of these profiles are complete BS (this one is not too bad), the books / shows / documentaries contain only half to quarter truths. Authors note: Watching these has really made me examine other documentaries I've seen in the past with a far more skeptical eye.

You need to add a B12 supplement if you are a vegan/vegetarian and get blood work done to make sure your levels are ok. My kid has been a vegetarian all her life so we have been balancing this for years. If Rebekah’s Dr told her she needed red meat, which I doubt that was floated as the only option, the real problem would be low vitamin B which they make a vegan supplement.

You are 100% correct. I’m in nursing school & currently taking a nutrition class & we went over this. “What supplement should a vegan add to their diet” was even a question on a quiz, the answer was B12. Sorry, I just find it interesting when I can actually apply what I’m learning to something. Lol. 🤣

My body, like most others with my blood type, functions best with a bit of red meat. (Not chicken/fowl/bird, which causes inflammation.) Nonetheless, a well-balanced _whole_ diet with sufficient nutrients is essential for all. (Of course some need a bit more or less of things due to 🧬, lifestyle and disease or disorder.)
