Every day I fall in love with Queen!! Someone once asked a writer (who’s obsessed over Freddie) why do we find ourselves obsessing over Freddie?? Her answer was “Freddie had the IT FACTOR. Everything about him just called to you. He’s kind, which you can tell. He’s fun. He’s confident, and has more charisma than a human should be allowed. He does moves on the stage that should look dumb. But when he does them they seem to fit the music perfectly.”

I have been a Queen fan since 1973 and i adore them to this day. Its so nice to see you and other people discovering Queen, the best Live band in history. I will assume you have seen the Live Aid Concert for Band Aid in 1985.. With them continuing to be discovered by young people today , makes me so happy to know that their timeless music will continue on in the future to enthral music lovers long after we are gone. I've been a stage musician for about thirty years, and I was asked to record on three tracks that exist somewhere. No clue where anymore. I love this stuff. Getting in the studio is an absolute blast as long as you have the right people around you. I'm a singer and a guitar player, so I'd gladly give up at least a leg to get to work with someone like Freddie, or any of them for that matter. This is an absolute dream to me. Writing in the studio is really difficult and you better be good if you try it. They were very good and it can also be the best way to write. Everyone gets bitchy in a recording session. These guys knew how to keep from killing each other. I needed some happiness today. Thank you ma'am. Happy Father's Day everybody. I hope you have a wonderful day whenever you read this. PS I couldn't agree more about videos. Leave them vague.

As a fan for some 45+ years and seeing them live twice the music was, and still is amazing and timeless. Since then I've watched a few of these videos of the band recording and working through a song and album. One of my favorites is a video of Brian discussing the recording of "Bohemian Rhapsody". It's funny here where John says that this was considered "a Queen composition", as every one of them have had at least number one hit over the years they were together.

@@bluebell3720 I've watched a few interviews with Brian and Roger over the years on the band recording their different albums. Brian stated that even early on Freddie would encourage John to bring something to the record. He stated that John would say "Well I've got this here and don't know if it's any good". Brain said that later on they'd each bring something in and throw it on the table and they'd kick it around and see what came about. Some of his songs are: "Another One Bite the Dust", "I Want to Break Free", "Spread Your Wings" and "You're My Best Friend".

The whole story of Queen is so amazing, it's so fascinating to listen to these guys especially about the music, every aspect of music and in their lives. You can see and hear that four artists are together that knew what they are doing, you could hear the creativity, but also much work it is to made it like this, let it look so easy at the end. Everyone had his own opinion and took his part in serious way to finish a song the right way. Roger Taylor and John Deacon were so important too and far to underrated when it comes to the public reputation of Queen.
@vovindequasahi
@vovindequasahi 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah as you can see here, the writing process really was the whole band. The writing credits were usually given to the one that came up with the original idea / riff / melody, but the molding of the song around that was always a team effort.
@vovindequasahi
@vovindequasahi 2 жыл бұрын
Roger Taylor was pretty damn appreciated too. It was always John Deacon who was in the background, even though he wrote one of their greatest hits Another One Bites the Dust. But John was obviously very introverted by nature, and more of a calm and relaxed bloke who didn't party that much, so I guess it's no surprise that he kind of stood outside of the limelight in the band. Deacon never really fit into the Rock n Roll lifestyle. Roger otoh could party harder than Freddy, and THAT is saying something! May meanwhile was mostly out in the Cosmos... ;-)

@@bluebell3720 no sarcasm, Brian knows its not that simple as Freddie or Roger think it is for a quality guitar track. It is so fascinating watching their song creation process... Reminds me a lot of working with my bands. It doesn't just magically appear... Same for everybody, well at least bands like Queen where the songs really are dynamic creations where one of the band members come up with the riff / idea / melody but after that the rest of the process is together in studio. More bands should do documentaries like these... They don't seem very important at the time, but as you can see now it is GOLD! Actually when watching the Beatles documentary a couple of months ago I thought, "Wow I wish more musicians - like Queen - recorded more of their studio time!" Being the fly on the wall is sooo fascinating.
