IMPORTANT! - first two levels (Escape1 and Escape2) are remaps! And they are the only remaps I will play (other remaps are unfinished) and rest of the levels are normal but still kinda nice to see with the new overhaul! It is only early access so this is mod is still unfinished and you may see some little bugs. You can see some bugs in Escape2 level... thats because it is a remap and also it is only accesseble through the console (so you can not play this map normaly through gameplay).. It is the only bugy map in this mod but i still put it in the video because i think it still looks pretty good.

MODIFIED IDTECH3 ENGINE by @Berserker which allows to make new lighting effects, dynamic shadows, normal maps for textures, specular maps, height maps, reflections etc. HD textures in 1024 and 2048 resolution. High poly models of weapons, map objects, vehicles, enemies. Hight quality sounds.
REMAPS - rebuilded original maps with more objets, places and enemies.
NEW MAPS/MISSIONS - We'll make new story merged into the original storyline. NEW MENU AND INTERFACE/HUD

Looks interesting. The light sources need to be down-adjusted a bit. They look like they might blind or distract the player. I feel like the mod would benefit from new animations such as for picking up treasures or taking down soldiers. Knifing animations were always a bit bare bones. You could add more variety in slashing/poking. The knife itself could also use a remake. Maybe make it a bit beefer so it feels more powerful to wield? Maybe allow it to be thrown? It might be too much but then again, calling it a remake does promise a lot.

Nice remake mod, but they could upgrade a better and more realistic look for MP40.

Agree.. there are still missing some new models in this mod... Also you can see the new MP40 model on their moddb site so i am guessing they are saveing it for full release..

That old look is what makes RTCW original, there is plenty of mods, but with modern looking guns, it doesn't look like RTCW anymore.

@@Pidalin Total BS. it's easy to say that when you're blinded by toxic nostalgia. if the weapoons looked weird in the og game that was only because of graphical limited knowledge that's all.

@@giannilyanicks1718 You must be 12 years old or something, these games from 20 years ago are clearly better than today games and because of unique design, you can immediately see what game it is, today you don't know if it's cod, battlefield or something else, it looks everything the same.

I really wish they made more within the castle. Or some expansions for this game. Something about the atmosphere in this game makes it playable over and over and not get sick of it.

Looks nice. I literally just bought this on Steam about 8 hrs ago from this time stamp/post. Great classic, played only once on Xbox. Here again, 20 years later, playing on PC for 2nd time.

The textures are great. And I like how the walls have a lot more objects on them instead of just dead empty rooms. I like it to look more homely and cozy. However the light rays and the bloom is just fucking too much. I don't know why people like to do this with modern games but they like to have the sun blaring in their eyes.

They weren’t too lazy - FOR SOMETHING - to replace the appearance of the characters with the one that was in Оld Blood, but somehow they didn’t want to change the weapon models)

I set the resolution in the game to 1920x1080 but the game is in a window and not on the full screen ?

I don't know!!? but it looks like the same game from 2001!!, just added some weapons with a little different behavior... You'll excuse my bluntness, but the graphics engine is still the same; I honestly expected something really new, a remastered game. I know how difficult it is to reprogram a game; I'm a systems developer for cross-platforms and I know well the necessary languages and tools to rebuild or change the engine at once. Please don't get me wrong; It's just constructive criticism. This game deserves a worthy remake, because the story and its period characters are brilliant. I believe there's Mmod can do better for this classic. Anyway, congratulations on the work. Respectfully, Tony Del Pupo ☯️

I just finished the game today (again) and the remake does look pretty different. Yes, the engine is the same, but the new textures, etc. add a lot to the game.

I think it's nice overall, but some of the lighting effects are really overdone.

Очень нравится эта игра! Ремейк очень достойный, много фишек добавлено помимо графических обновлений, что несомненно повышает интерес к этой версии игры. Игра смотрится одновременно знакомо и вроде как уже по другому. В целом мне нравится!!!
