I’ll show you a few tricks I use to root eyelashes on awake babies and asleep babies.

This is great I have been wanted so badly to root my Ashton Drake baby's eyelashes. The original lashes she had were just like fake lashes you buy at a drug store. I'm so glad I found your video

Thank you for sharing this. I found rooting individual hairs so much easier than trying to work with eyelash strips and they look more natural. I tend to probably make them too sparse though. Big hugs from your pal in Oklahoma.

Thank you!!! Great tutorials! On open and asleep. I need to touch up a couple of my reborns & make 1 look more natural :) hers were cut short & same length of entire eyelid.. mehhh lol yours look amazing & ur daughter is very talented. I am an artist but havent tried reborns yet

Wow! I have done many dolls and this video has helped me, it was so frustrating and also you did the opened eyed one!!! I was holding my needle upside down and cutting across then try to cut the tips so they did not look straight across this has helped me a great deal. Thank you soooo much!!!

Thanks for the information on that. Two of my reborns I purchased had rooted eye lashes but I thought it looked strange new with reborn but I did noticed they looked wrong they were rooted in the eyelid groove area were you mentioned that was not natural. So I plucked them off and learned from you had to fix them. Thanks

I am so excited to start My Reborning Journey and this video is gonna help so much when I begin rooting hair but I am a Huge fan of painted on Hair and I think Your Work is incredible. I am subscribed and will be watching your tutorials. I am getting the hang of putting Bodies together but I'm having trouble with the veining process. Toccoah10 10 There a a few reasons I do the open eyelashes with the loop of hair vs laying the hair across it. The main reason is that it is such a tiny rim of space that I’m trying to put the hair into that if I don’t see exactly what I’m doing i fear it will go all over and not stay in a nice realistic line or row. Its also is really hard to hold in that place while trying to poke it into the place you can’t see behind it. So I modified it to the loop method to give me more control over the placement

The hair goes through the top of the eye socket and into the head. I glue it from the inside of the head.

Once the eyelashes are rooted and cut on the open eye baby, how do you glue them in if you do it with the eye in the socket?

The only way to glue it in that scenario is if the lashes make it through the eye socket area and out into the main head cavity. I always slather the eye in glue to catch and that might be there.

I'm on my first doll, ready for lashes. I also do needle felting and those needles also have barbs on them. Do you think I can use those for rooting lashes?

Yes you can! But they also have a lot of barbs on them so your lashes will be really thick and pluggy.

They should always be glued. I think she just didn't show that part; just the rooting part.

Yes they do get glued. But the hair goes through the socket of the awake one into the head and I glue it inside the head. I should have mentioned that. I apologize it I confused you.

How do you keep from Jabbing the eye

Trudy McCuistion the angle of the needle usually goes in just above the eye. And because they’re smooth glass it usually bounces off and travels in the gap between the eye and the socket casing.

Do this, meaning root eyelashes? I imagine they probably could if they try. It does take practice to get good at it, Just like anything worth doing. There will need to be lots of practice.

Ich habe mir ein starterset von Once so Real bestellen lassen aber ich wäre mir definitiv zu schade um mich hinzusetzen und Schicht vür Schicht meine kostbare Zeit damit zu vergeuden sehr sehr schade um das Geld aber das Päckchen bleibt definitiv zu Museums Stück zum Horten
