Rebuild of an AI-9 APU Gas Turbine Day1 HD

Күн бұрынI had lots of fun running my AI-9, but now its time to turn my attention to the duff one. Lots of work over the last year and now its time to find all those parts and start the re-assembly. My earlier video striped one down in around 4 hrs (approx. 30 min video) but putting them back together is a little trickier and takes way longer and this project definitely took longer. Once on the bench I worked on this one for about 3 days and the video was getting a bit big. So, 3 days = 3 separate videos.
If you have an AI-9 then this will be gold, if not just enjoy the ride as I breakdown into detail the build process, cleaning and assembly that will help with any jet engine project.

It's quite interesting seeing such a basic compressor design, it really helps understand how they actually work.

Thanks, The compressor is much larger due to it creating additional air for starting other engines rather than just thrust. But hay, who doesn't need a bigger turbo wheel :)

@@derekbeacroft I am an engine technician, I work with tv3 117 vm engines and apu AI 9v. But we do not have a repair manual for the APU, we only have a maintenance manual. thank you
