That's powder coating Dawg, you just wipe off the powder from the places you don't want it then you have to bake it to harden it. So it fine as long as he whipes the powder off before baking it.

@expertmechanic9 enough of one to know sleeves are typically press in or they cool them with liquid nitrogen so they shrink and they will slide in and expand when they warm up

And it will need to be rebuilt again in 2 yrs. Usually need to shrink those sleeves to put them in but those went in way to easily. Those cylinders are gonna wear down and gouge quick

Depends on the type of sleeve, some engage a o-ring in the block and the cylinder head retains them, others are shrunken with dry ice or liquid nitrogen and installed, once they reach room temperature they will not come out or move again.

A question to those who claim this is a wet liner application, could you please explain how the water between the liner and the cylinder block is sealed? There is no o-ring or any other sealing material on the block machining. How do you plan to prevent the so called water between the liner and the block from directly going to the oil pan? Please I want to learn
