I must have missed something. It looks like you just took it apart and put it back together again, using all the same parts. Is that what you did or did you use a different compressor body that doesn't show up in the video out of frame?

need advice.. i own hyundai verna petrol. There is absolutely no cooling and authorized service center guy asked to get the compressor replaced whereas local mechanic said he can repair it. new compressor is approx $600 whereas repairing is approx $140.. just wondering whether i should repair or replace the compressor.... :)

What kind of gloves are those? Do they keep your hands from getting banged up and dirty? If they hold up to the abuse, don't tear...seems like they would provide better feel than mechanics gloves (leather or synthetic). You did not check the pistons for side play. Big mistake. Always do this test when opening a compressor.

I wouldn't trust my compressor to this guy. No way. Using a steel hammer to smack the aluminum cap? If this is the kind of employee rebuilders hire, it's no wonder why some remaned components don't last.

Don’t buy from R & Y compressors they don’t use quality control at all. Compressor that I purchased from them leaked right after trying to refill it with freon 🤦
