HAT'S OFF to you Sam. I've been waiting during this lock down to see your next move. Many people would not have showed the Cam Carrier problem. I've been a Marine Engineer for over 25 years. Everyday I learn something new and many times have asked others. Your inspiring me to do great old Land Rover. I'm learning from you every time. Love your style. Keep teaching us. Stay honest.

Absolutely bloody brilliant! I loved every second of these video's. Oh that oh so familiar sound of priming the fuel system every time I changed the fuel filter and then to hear the 5 cylinder burst into life, just makes me wish I still had my Td5 Discovery. Please keep 'em coming!!

Had me on the "edge of my seat". Such a glorious sound. Thanks for giving such an informative watch. I'm in Australia and own a 1993 Defender 200Tdi, cab chassis. Rescued from an abusive owner and I've learnt everything from people like you and for myself this is a never ending story of taking things off and playing around with it and looking for something else to "fix". I'm needing to do my turbo cartridge and I thoroughly enjoyed watching you. UBIQUE mate.

Great video Sam, great presenting style too! Love it that you’re not aloof or pretentious and show us your mistakes as well as your triumphs. That is after all, how we learn and grow, by making errors and reanalysing our actions. I do have workshop envy though, what I wouldn’t give for a big, airy workshop to tinker away in. Keep up the videos, they are inspiring 👍

the trouble with buying a reconditioned turbo is that you can guarantee the internals put in it are any good, if you do it yourself you know whats going in to it. I have a VW Crafter van which used to be a courier van or company van of some sort, i have a huge ring binder with the service history and previously its had 3 turbos but each only costing £300 suggesting they were reconditioned chocolate ones. i've since had to put another turbo on but went with the genuine Mitsubishi one they came with and it hasn't missed a beat.
