Congratulations on this build. I’m sure you will keep it sunny side up, because you know how much work is involved in repair. Good lessons learned and your honesty is appreciated. I was looking at a Copart auction Friday and the price got too high and I had to walk away for reasons you mentioned. Never stop learning. Bravo, excellent job with this series. Totally chill out if you decide to take your brother for a ride which I’m sure he’s dying to do!

Thanks Sheddy means a lot! I would love to do a track day! I can only imagine how fun this bike would be on the track. Unfortunately I would be very nervous with this bike tho, might want to start with a 500 or 600 just to get the feel of pushing the bike to it's absolute limits. Also I've heard that track insurance is very expensive so if I were to dump my bike with no insurance I would be out X amount of dollars.

But just a little insight (most) track day organizations have different skills levels that each run their own sessions so you are grouped with riders that are close to your own abilities. If you haven't done a track day before (most) orgs will require you to sign up for the Novice group for your first track day. In the Novice group, you're lead by a coach/instructor the entire day and typically each coach has 4-8 riders that they are working with. The first couple of sessions the coaches will lead their respective group of riders around the track so you can get an idea of what the turns feel like and a good reference for what the "ideal" line is. In between sessions the coaches are available to discuss your feelings/progress from the previous session and some organizations even have a classroom session after your on track session. All in all, (most of the time), it's a very well structured and safe approach to track riding with plenty of guidance and designed to keep you and your bike safe while also helping you get a feel for what it's like to ride on track. What part of the country are you in? If you're anywhere near the South East, I'm happy to recommend organizations and coaches for you to seek out and work with. I'd also be glad to help you myself, however that may be applicable. But most importantly, until you get "bumped" up in the intermediate and advanced groups, you'll very easily be able to ride the Panigale (or whatever bike) at a nice controlled pace while learning and practicing the fundamentals that will help you become a much better rider, track or street.
