get access to bmw online database... you have there all the measurements of all body components. cross measurements on one diagonal should say "130cm" for example, so you know the reference. If that measurement gives 132 or 128 then it's off by 2 eithe side . this was just an example.

Another great video Tim. Having just gone thru a very similar rebuild with the front suspension damage and lots of the plastic bits, I feel your anxiety and frustration. Thankfully I did not have a bent frame, but my control arm was pretty well bent at a 90. Those headlights tho, dang they are expensive. eBay you're right, solid place to get quality OE parts for a fraction of dealer. -- Nice shop lights too, I've got a bunch strung up in my place. Cheers!

protip: 3:30 We end up with shed loads of (mostly Chinese food) take out plastic boxes, so I use those for various nuts'n'bolts ;)

Tim , for the headliner .. i’ll show you one way that worked to me .. adjust your front seat on the lowest setting and lay them down and in that way you could remove from the front passenger door .. it worked for me on my Passat Saloon and its pretty similar size try it .. i think it will work 🤞🏻 by the way in the end thaaats gonna look amazing in the end 😍🙏🏻

Hey Tim. I’m in a similar situation. I just picked up a 2018 M550i. Same damage to right front. Frame rail on passenger side is of not even a half inch off. I’m nervous. Hopefully my frame guy can fix it. I’m waiting to hear back. My parts list is up to 10k at this point. Plus I didn’t get the bumper with the car. Thanks for the video!

You need a laser measuring system like the Eclipse one how do you know the frame rail is not bent up or down or twisted vs side to side

nice vid like !! i think 15k max if no frame damage, had the same, alu hood and the rest cheap vs: headlight and bumper are the most expensiv ones in all parts !!

Break-ins to steal especially airbags from BMWs is a plague to Europe and probably other parts of the world as well. I don't know your sources, but I really encourage you to think and be critical to where you buy those specific parts from as there's a big likelihood your buying stolen parts that caused expensive damages and expenses to car-owners in other parts of the world. Thanks for your great channel, I really appreciate you sharing all you do, it is to me very inspiring!
