Welcome back to the channel everybody in today’s video we continue working on the Jeep Cherokee SRT. as most of you guys know this thing was absolutely smashed, and we had to replace the entire left side frame rail assembly all the way to the firewall. we are now finally at the painting stage and almost ready to install the engine. It’s been a long time and a lot of hard work to get here and I am happy to say that everything is turning out exactly as I planned. So enjoy the video and I will see you guys next one.

Most cars have a matt finish in the engine bay, just gloss where the clear hits basecoat when front wings (fenders) are being sprayed at factory. Going overboard with gloss is a giveaway that car has been accident damaged and repaired 👍

Yes you are correct, but we all know it’s been repaired and i am not trying to hide it, I appreciate the gloss more and so do my clients.

It is fixed structurally - now comes the rest of the hard work. Our Chihuahua can kill a fly in mid air, whats up with cat? He needs more Ninja schooling. Making the engine bay gloss is a nice touch. The downside is it shows the dirt much quicker. This will be a nice ride when you get it done.

It's easy to understand why Mercedes gave that strut tower apron some serious tie-in to A Pillar,not much of a strut Tower forward of tower center;so the tower will easily crumple ( as engineered) even with a mild wack to frame rail. Nice welding on your part.

I swore I saw Cat 🐈‍⬛ walking up around inside the dash. Nobody is supposed to care about nibs under the hood, BUT, 23rd G always goes the extra mile.

We get people, especially with black trucks, put Herculiner in the engine bay. People say its not good with heat but we haven't anyone complain yet. Its cheaper than body color (about 50) and it can make the passenger space a little quieter. Also if you hose out the engine bay once in a while it stays pretty clean looking especially since its kind of oil colored.
