The box shape of the Defender does bring out that colour rather well. Looks like an interesting build. Chassis refurbish as well? That old girl deserves it. That opening drive with the Discovery brought back loads of memories from many years ago. I was lucky enough to be able to buy a new Discovery 1 Facelift diesel in that very same green colour with the optional suspension pack and bigger wheels. Put thousands of miles on it and as the excellent LR dealer in Wootton Bassett serviced it for me it never missed a beat. They offered me a deal on a new Discovery Series II which included all the 'extras' I had on the Disco 1 and again I put thousands of miles on it running to Germany and back. Only fault was a radio that got hot. Replaced under warranty. I am now looking for a sad Disco II to rebuild (I don't like the 'restoration' tag) to keep the 2 brain cells working and your channel is to blame!

Why is it not a common thing to change the dash on old defenders to the newer one 2012-2013 ? Also what does this whole project cost approx?

Why hasn’t the chassis and underside been sorted first , or is it being left? I know you are Juice and do it Juice way but surely you must watch Mahker and ask yourself, why don’t we at least use some of their approach, clearly it pays off for them.

This just feels all the wrong way around to me, chassis first, engine second, bodywork/glass third, then prep and paint, lastly interior - even a time crunch shouldn’t alter the normal world of Land Rover rebuilds ? I wished you would have changed that swan neck pitman for the Discovery (straight and stronger version), Also you keep calling the drive flange a CV Joint…why?
