Лютая дичь! Сёдла клапанов кувалдой! Развёртка направляющих элдрелью. Всем бьющимся в восторге, желаю чтобы их авто обслуживалось только так. Автору лайк.

Технология ремонта примерно из той же области как у нас при советской власти трактора в поле ремонтировали))Да и сейчас, кто ещё работает на советской технике примерно так же её и ремонтируют!)) Я как то помогал ремонтировал трактор гусеничный Т 150 прям в поле, у него заклинил двигатель, вытянуть его было без вариантов, как и мотор снимать, куда то везти, по этому разбирали прям там на месте, выбивали кувалдой гильзы с блока, забивали новые, ставили новую поршневую с кольцами, вкладыши, гбц примерно сходим образом перебрали, в итоге завелись и дальше в поле работать поехали!)) Естественно современная техника с алюминиевыми блоками и гбц, где половина навесного по порошковой технологии выполнена, уже так в поле не отремонтировать, там чуть сильнее стукнул, перетянул и всё развалилось))

Не забывай о том, что тут самая примитивная техника, где допуски по технологическим зазорам - палец взрослого упитанного мужчины. Понятно, что современную технику не получится так ремонтировать, разлетится к чертям, однако, такие древние агрегаты - а этот двигатель похож на какой-то очень древний тракторный или грузовой атмо-дизель с отдачей полторы бобровые силы с литра - терпят подобный ремонт, под него и рассчитывались, скажу больше - произведен этот двигатель был по таким же технологиям, и на заводе седла забивали, скорее всего, такой же кувалдой.

3:13 можно было сильнее кинуть)) Не понимаю, по технологии же седла клапанов нужно охлаждать, а головку греть, тут же забивают. Реально без разницы.

Repair crack? I wanted to see the pinning techniques. They also Switched heads half way through after milling the head changed.

i wonder how they wash out all the debris after they finish grinding, sanding, chipping away the metal??? or do tye just let the oil filter do its work lol

Mostly they wash it in Diesel or other degreasers before installing works quite well

They showed at the end how they washed with degreaser and then with pressure washer. Then they packaged it so it wasn't going to be installed there. Also, i would consider it dumb to NOT inspect the cylinder head before installing it.

They’re using lapping compound to get a precisely smooth surface and tolerance

They used grinding compound to grind both the valve and valve seat to fit perfectly for each other. That's the reason why valves should not be mixed when taking them apart for maintenance or something. Lapping (or tapping valves multiple times against the valve seat) makes sure the valve is seated correctly. We were trained to do that if the seal was not good enough despite grinding it and i never needed more than 2-5 times, after that there was very little improvement. Measuring device for the seal is simple: vacuum pump sucks air from the intake/exhaust duct and dial shows how good vacuum there is. There is always some air leakage from valve stem and valve/valve seat so absolute vacuum and seal is impossible, you just have to get close enough. Even a few lappings can make a huge difference if the vacuum is not good enough after grinding.

No blue dye to see where the seat hits the valve a 44% cut and no 30 % valve stem is checked with the head surface not spring seat to tip of valve..

We (eu-country) were never trained/thaught to use blue dye to check valve contact area. With clean surface and cutter making marks, it's easy to see where it contacted and where it didn't. Also slows everything down with slathering the liquid and then waiting for it dry...

The final job may be good...But I think the processess shold be improved, particularly concerning the safety and enviromental issues..Ex..lack Of PPE..(safety googles (sparkes can hit eyes), gloves (bare hands in contact with chemicals) chemical spilling). But I admire all of them....Long live to all.....

For the same reasons that they don't use too many Cummins specific tooling, little budget, affordable bill to the customer. Not too sure that OEM parts are used either.

They did so many good things then hit the end of the valve with a hammer right at the end... A hard plastic one maybe, but mark up that surface and it will take out the rocker arm in no time.
