I try to never work on intricate things late at night, especially when I'm tired, as this is how mistakes are made. You're sleepy, tired, and not as sharp as you should be, and it's so much easier to miss or overlook something important, like tightening something down to spec properly. but hey, if you're broke down along side the road, or out drifting, then all bets are off and anything goes! At least, this is how it goes for me. YMMV Looks like you're doing a great job! I think you'll do just fine! :) safe travels you guys!

Billy, I give you a lot of credit for rebuilding your diesel on your boat. You are creative and have a “can-do” attitude. I rebuilt the engine in my first car, a Ford 351 Cleveland in my garage when I was 15 years old. This brought back lots of great memories of taking that engine apart piece by piece, cleaning it all up, new bearings and gaskets and putting it back together. I had a Chilton’s manual to guide me through it. Can’t wait to hear that sucker run! Good job so far dude!
