Agreed, I also found it not very well written for the reasons Sophie mentioned but I ended up enjoying the series regardless, especially the last one (a court of silver flames) which was geared toward a more adult audience.

i think acotar is a good intro to sjm but throne of glass is her best work for SURE. much better world building and writing and you get to meet my favourite book character ever. loved this vid soph! ❤

I highly recommend the throne of glass series over the Acotar series. I am also trying to get through the acotar series, I’m on the third book now. Throne of glass is way more action and fantasy balanced with some romance and is definitely less cringey lol.

You can take the earrings to Vegas, but have her borrow them for the wedding and only the wedding. That way, it counts as "something borrowed." This is just an idea :)

I NEVER comment on videos but I have to say, I took your advice on the Elektra book almost a year ago, and loved it, read all of Jennifer Saints books. I also read Midnight Library and thoroughly enjoyed it, prior to reading Elektra I hadn't read in YEARS - now I can't stop! So thank you for always sharing your recs - it's something I always look out for!

About ACOTAR, there is a progression in spicyness in the books. The latest book is by far the ✨️spiciest✨️ but yes you just got to see it through

ACOTAR definitely had the most cringe phrases of all SJM books. Throne of Glass is sensational but imo was a lot slower. Also, I feel like the “romance” is definitely hitched up a level in A Court Of Silver Flames. Also, those sunnies on you are SENSATIONAL 😍

If you haven’t read fourth wing definitely give it a try. I had never read fantasy beforehand and was kinda worried I wouldn’t like it, it’s probably one of my favourite books!! Gets you hooked and keeps you hooked the whole time ☺️

My son recommended a book to me called Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stewart. Its a one time read but its worth it and the story is based on the authors upbringing.

I read Sarah J Maas’ other book series A Throne of Glass before ACOTAR blew up and I really liked it. Just could not get into ACOTAR, read the first book and half of the second before I gave up. I would like to read the Greek mythology series you’ve mentioned on your channel before. Thanks for sharing your favorites! ❤

I read ACOTAR liked it but never sucked me in. I’m also not a huge fantasy fan, but thought I would give it a shot. I couldn’t finish a mist of fury. It was too Blah for me and way too repetitive. I tried lol. It’s just not for everyone.

I didnt really like Acotar that much. I totally get that feeling I have to like it because everyones obsessed with it. But to be honest it was quite meh for me. But thats ok. I enjoyed it for What it is and red the First three books and stopped Btw These sun glasses are stunning!!!❤
