Free at Last isn’t Free’s last Lp - that was Heartbreaker. My mistake. Free at last came after Highway. Sorry Free fans. Cheers.

Sorcerer is a brilliant film. There's not a lot of the music in the movie, but when it's there, it's very effective - a must watch if you like 70's thrillers!

Love the cover of Space Art. I'm generally happy with Tangerine Dream on cd for the reasons you describe. Nice pickups as always Chris.

Great that you’ve been enjoying your record collection recently - I do think it’s a good idea to pause from buying now and again and rediscover what you already have. I don’t know Cyclone but do like 70s Tangerine Dream. Lovely copy of Aqua!

Got so much to,listen to. May even start sharing it on here. I enjoy all 70s Tangerine Dream. The first four which I’ve yet to get as maybe a bit too ambient but if they turn up for t(e right price… Really enjoying Aqua. Immaculate copy. Cheers John, Chris

Modern English are from Colchester. Originally called The Lepers, they were booked to support Adam & the Ants in Chelmsford on the Parisians tour in February 1979, but by the day of the gig they'd changed their name to Modern English

Hi Chris interesting stuff I agree about Glen Hughes marvellous stuff and his albums do go on a bit! Tangerine Dream the Sorcerer soundtrack the film has a post Jaws Roy Schieder as the leader of a group of truck drivers delivering unstable explosives through a jungle road! A remake of a 50's French film! It's worth a watch very tense! Modern English I will look for! Trapeze have so much stuff about! But a band I loved! Nice picks!

Well done on finding quiet copies of Tangerine Dream records. I think I'm on my fifth copy of Rubycon and it's still not perfect. I do have a lot on CD though which is probably the best way to experience them...

I still stream most Tg tbh. But all my LPs by them are decent. It’s the only time I’m really fussy. Thanks for watching and come again Dale, Chris

Hi Chris, I really should do what you've been doing i.e. slowing down on the purchases and more importantly start playing the albums already in my collection more. I've heard of, but never actually heard anything from the Abraxas Pool album - love 70s Santana too. You should really get the first Free album, it's possibly my favourite by them. Never heard anything Space Art - should check them out. I absolutely love Cyclone - totally brilliant! I think Jolliffe's vocals actually suit the music. Their soundtracks (or at least the first couple) are good but not essential parts of TD's catalogue. Sorcerer is a really good film - a remake of the classic 1953 French film Wages of Fear directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot. Aqua is possibly my favourite of Froese's solo work. All the best... Pete

Chris , serious discipline not going into vinyl shops in Germany ! So good to go back to our existing collections and appreciating , instead of hunting for more , Amen to that . The French duo look kind of intriguing.

The cities offered so much more than records. Another time. We will return to Berlin in the next couple of years for sure. I’m sure I have some records I have hardly played so it’s interesting delving into it. Cheers Graham, Chris

Hi Chris, Modern English were formed in 1979, initially they were clearly influenced by Joy Division but in 1981 appeared on the 'Some Bizarre Album' with acts like Depeche Mode, Soft Cell and Blancmange. Back then they were considered as one of the wave of bands linked to the New Romantic scene. Their best album is 'After The Snow' which includes 'I Melt With You'. They are still playing live dates in the US especially where they have quite a formidable following, cheers!

So modern English by the ways are actually a post punk band in the same vein as early the cure, magazine and also has a touch of Echo and the bunnymen to so I highly recommend their 1982 album after the snow which has their iconic hit I melt with you the rest of the album is fantastic checkout life in the gladhouse, someone's calling and dawn chorus from the same album it's one of my favorite albums of that era and as for Glenn Hughes I'm so on the lookout for his Hughes/thrall 1982 album I think it'd some of his best vocal work of the era but the cd is so hard to find

Will go hunting for the modern English Lp. Love hughes Thrall. I bought the album when it first came out in 82. Love Glenn Hughes‘s voice, but also really enjoy the guitar playing of Pat thrall especially in the Pat travers band. The H/T cd is often on eBay. . Cheers George, Chris

Hi Chris, good choices again. Modern English came out in the punk era of 1977. They loosely sounded a bit like early Ultravox. There first single Drowning Man was a lot like Ultravox in my opinion anyway. I Melt With You sounded and may even influenced Depeche Mode, to me anyway. Keep making these videos, really enjoy them.

Loving your channel and your vast knowledge of different types of music, maybe if you have any maybe do a video of flexi discs if you have any of corse, there was plenty released from punk era through the 80s, sometimes given away on music magazines of the time.
