We are having a bit of a rest from our Friday limited edition soap this week, as things have been hectic and we haven't had the time to create one! Instead, we are following on from Tuesday's video in which we created soap dough and we are showing you how to colour that soap dough and use it to make soap sprinkles which you can use to decorate your soaps.
We begin by showing you how to use mica to quickly and easily colour plain white soap dough. We then move on to using a clay extruder tool to extrude thin, individual strands of soap dough, which we then allow to dry for a very short period of time before turning them into "sprinkles".
This is a very fun, eye catching way to decorate soaps and as long as you have the right tools (an extruder is essential for this) then it is also really easy too!
If you wish to use our recipe to create your soap dough, then these are the ingredients and measurements that you need to work with.
109g Sodium Hydroxide
240g Water
340g Olive Oil
99g Sweet Almond Oil
57g Castor Oil
184g Coconut Oil
75g Shea Butter
38g Cocoa Butter
1/4 tsp mica in total to colour (1/8 tsp) and dust (1/8 tsp) your sprinkles
