I have made the exact same recipe and will agree that it’s plenty spicy with the Cayenne - next time I make it I’ll probably dial that spice back to 1/8 t……….🔥

Try using cubed beef instead of ground. I would serve the beans as a side dish for those like me who do not like beans in chili and chop up a pepper f whatever strength you like (I like habeneros) to add a bit of heat and color.

Is it watery? I’m used to thicker chili

I didn't think so. If you want it thicker you could leave the lid off and let it simmer until it gets to the thickness you like. Just do it slowly so it doesn't burn.
