What happened to the authority who's taking the responsibility of this uncivilised parking....Hopeless people driving a nice car just to show off and not knowing the rules and regulations of parking....We should not always depend on traffic police or police and the authority...Ghari bhaal chola nishna rules and regulations bhi jani bhi naa...

Everyday traffic police are busy checking commercial vehicle only.

Dear parking tax collectors, before your tax please learn to arrange parking in order.. Some parking lots where 4 vehicles can be park are recklessly occupied by 2 cars??

Driving is not all about controlling the steering but knowing how to use the Indicator,dipper,and able to use rear view mirror etc etc..

There should be at least 5ft of shoulder on the side of any 2 lane or 4 lane roads for parking..

This is actually the proper way of parking but as we have it, the constructors of roads have not considered parking space and service lanes. The national standard of city roads is supposed to be 150 ft including roadside parking but in Dimapur, it is only 100 ft without the parking space. The white line demarcation is smaller than the ones in Guwahati and even highways in Assam, which seems to be able to accommodate the entire width of a large SUV. Dimapur and Nagaland as a whole went through huge contradiction in developing this road which is in actuality supposed to be a national highway. People started occupying properties right next to the footpath and weren't willing to leave when asked by the road developers (NHAI) without compensation. However, 75 ft from the middle of the road (150 ft overall) happened to be demarcated as Government by national standards and the little compensation that came was lost in the translation of this debate. So Dimapur remained in the Nagaland standard.

Not all rich people yeah but some rich people drive like its their road and park like its their parking space.. Once i encountered a two wheeler was parking in its designated parking space and then a fortuner arrive at that spot and was honking at the two wheeler to make space. The two wheeler guy got annoyed and was showing the signboard, then from the back of the car a middle aged woman popped her head out and asked the two wheeler to give a little space.. There were a bunch of middle aged woman all dressed up fancy sitting and the person driving the car was just a driver for them.. so yeah rich people sometimes act as if they own everything.

Subway and flyover is very much required in Dimapur,

Happens mostly in 3rd mile bazaar junction.

Please do sensitise and educate the public through a video, when and where pedestrians can cross the highway, it seems a lot of people are still unaware and ignorant as evident from the 3:30 video timestamp, which is just one instance caught on live news report, Hundreds do the same every minute , every hour of the day.

Next time when I go out for shopping I'll park my car at Hornbill Tv offlice since there is no parking for cars. State Government should better bring authority of town planner from outside State like from Delhi, Mumbai. Our Nagaland leaders,hohos,councils, authorities ,no one i repeat no one thinks of better Nagaland beautiful Nagaland from their heart...they only know how to loot and make more money,drives luxurious cars and construct big buildings and complex in many different places. Nagas whether we are rich or poor, educated or uneducated we are all uncivilized and money mongers.

Its time to build parking lot buildings just like major cities, too many vehicles these days road is hardly visible because of unlimited vehicles. Make multi storeyed buildings and charge fees according to hours parked with token system and security at entry and exit points.
