What these ladies are bringing to the heavy metal genre is insane. Best guitar duo in the genre, now an elite bassist, an R&B background vocalist with pipes for days, and the anchor / driving force of the band, Thunder Goddess herself, 4' 9" Haruna on drums. Haruna is a F beast, considering the pace she plays at for these 90-120min shows...and she uses every single item in that drum kit. Hope you'll give them a try and watch the views implode! 🤘

My very favorite version of this beautiful song! I asked my husband and son to be sure it was played at my funeral. As a 76 year old Southern Baptist, I have heard many versions, but this one moves me deeply!

Someone mentioned in your live comments that this song was from the ‘60’s and how it’s still appropriate today. Well, they’re wrong. This was written in the 1700’s. And the history of this song might be a bit surprising. “Those words are life reflections of John Newton, a slave trader who nearly died in a shipwreck, and who eventually became a minister. He penned the famous words of "Amazing Grace" for a sermon for his 1773 New Year's service at the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in England.”

Maybe they were thinking of "You'll Never Walk Alone", which is from the soundtrack of Oklahoma! It was recorded by Gerry And The Pacemakers in the 60s and has become the mascot song for Manchester United Football Club. 🙃🐨🇦🇺

@@terryeallen-stoda2152 It is actually the title of a very famous hymn written by John Newton (poet) in 1779 following his survival of a shipwreck and then arriving in Ireland. The hymn reflects Newton's personal experience. Judy Collins sang it and made it more popular , and Joan Baez recorded it in the 1960s because of the Vietnam war making it more known. The Scot’s guards also pipe the melody of this hymn. A couple of verses are missing from the original text of this hymn but songs were not allowed to be longer when recording in the 1960s, I imagine that’s why the hymn was shortened so thats probably why those verses were omitted.

My dad loved this song and played it on a harmonica he carried in his pocket during 2 years of combat in the pacific during WWII. Being a Texas born Scotsman this was played, following a 21 gun salute, by a lone bagpiper on a hill as his ashes were scattered over the mountains. I always get tears when I hear any rendition and will cry my eyes out anytime it is played on the bagpipes.

How lovely! The harmonica is the first instrument Dan learned to play and it was given to him by his father, who was also a musician, at age 7. Dan has stated he deliberately chose to use it as it invokes the sound of bagpipes. 🙂

I love how raw & delicate he started the song even with the slight echo & with each verse exposing more talent & intensity. Dan Vasc has a God given talent that he has perfected into what it is today. He sang this song the way it was MEANT to be sung with such respect, emotion & with a POWERFUL impact. I FELT the presence of GOD!!! This is the absolute very BEST version of Amazing Grace that I've EVER heard in my ENTIRE life & I'm old (LOL). God BLESS Dan Vasc for sharing his wonderful talent & this video with the world! This is something the entire world could use more of if they only would do just that... use & show God's Amazing Grace! 💕🎶✝️🎶💕

Few facts. Dan Vasc is from Brazil where he still resides. First language, Brazilian/Portuguese. He knew at the age of 10 this is what he wanted to do.

Nice reaction, Recky. We all get goosebumps when Dan sings this with such power and intensity. Dan, 33, from Brazil is a Christian, but he sings mostly secular pieces. I hope you'll subscribe to his KZfaq channel and explore all the genres he sings. His covers are as good or better than the originals and he will introduce you to songs you've never heard before. I just found him last month and I'm addicted to his voice. He's phenomenal, whether it's Disney or heavy metal. I can't encourage you enough to explore his catalog. He will blow you away! Enjoy!

The hands-down absolute 💯 💯 💯 nest rendition I've EVER HEARD... and I'm a PK (Preacher's Kid) who has played (piano & guitar), sung, and heard it thousands of times throughout my 55 years on earth!! I feel like all of Heaven stopped to listen! And definitely was meant to be sung like this at this point in history. With all the darkness in our world, people need hope. Yes an awesome cover , Dan's band is "Fearless" their album is awesome and all setup and done in Viking style check it out. Dan is Brazilian and addressed different studios regarding the band for recording deals. They wanted all the profits and a percentage of his youtube channel. Needless to say he has done all his own recording and mixing Everything !!! He really is brilliant❣️ Dive in and Enjoy⚘️

Great reaction. I get goosebumps watching reactors get goosebumps. You can show his videos without distorting them. He has given permission for them to be used. His visual performance is very moving as well as the vocals. I will be coming back to see your reactions to his other songs. Also, after some of the videos, he has a message to the viewers. Almost as good??? In my opinion, it tops Draiman, if you consider that he had high technology instruments, a fancy orchestra. Dan sings vividly, pouring his soul out, recording all his covers in his garage, including this one.

Hey, you give me goose bumps too, guy. I love Dan Vasc, he's probably one of the best out there and can do so many things. I know I sent that piece to you too. Go explore some of his other stuff, he's phenomenal. And, if you're curious, when it's 10pm where you are, it's 3:pm here in Houston (Central Time US). Figure an hour earlier for Eastern time and 2 hours later for California (2pm in New York and 1pm in California).

Great review. If you want to compare another version of this song, you will have to check out the dustbin and look for Judy Collins and listen to her version. I think you will find both versions are side-by-side in their performances.

I'm sorry, but blocking the view of Dan, takes away a good part of the rendition. Dan shows a lot of emotion in most of his songs and this one is one of his most emotional for him. There are othrr wsys to "filter" and yet see his performance.
