Record Silver ETF Inflow into London | Gold +$2,222 oz Intra Week

SUBSCRIBE to Our Channel: www.youtube.co... On the heels of last month's record-sized silver import volumes into India with over +70 million ounces imported for February 2024 alone.
This week, we saw record-sized capital inflows into one of the world's largest unsecured Silver ETFs, with an alleged 1,000 oz bar stored in London. Approximately three-quarters of a billion fiat dollar inflow. Or, more succinctly, an additional over +29 million ounce inflow into $SIVR silver ETF.
This physical inflow occurred in the Loco London vault system, and thus, the trading was private between parties, possibly not even affecting silver spot price markets.
The spot gold price closed over a $2,150 oz bid, completing its 18th week hovering above the building $2,000 oz price support threshold.
The spot silver price made a brief run at $26 oz before being slapped down, closing just below the $25 oz spot for the week.
The spot gold-silver ratio climbed on gold's strength to 87.5.

Money flowing into ETFs, is exactly the opposite of what we need to happen. I was under the impression that silver outflows were occurring, from the Comex, to the LBMA and them to the east.

One of the likely final nails in the future bullion mania phase will be Western world capital slamming into bullion shortage walls when coming in with the size while also running into every underperforming derivative that stays solvent from here to there. Large financial institutions often have to trade within the derivative complex by rule, and especially given the silver market's relatively tiny size the large inflows of capital stay in the unsecured ETF arena.

Mr. Anderson, there are a lot of us having a hard time wrapping our heads around how inflows of silver INTO the silver ETFs is a good thing for silver (or silver price). Inflows (in our minds) mean increased SUPPLY. In the mathematical ratio S/D when supply increases to meet (and overshoot) demand, prices fall. You might do a weekly update to explain how this works. Those of us who are not in this business full time cannot see how these dynamics work in our favor…or perhaps work at all.

It may be a hassle, but it's a safeguard to get your metals. I run into the same issues because I work when they try to deliver. I have to go to the office to pick it up. Better that than another delivery company leaving it at your doorstep or neighbors place

Fascinating. I'm always interested to hear about banks or countries "buying" silver and gold. Presumably, they are paying for silver and gold with fiat. By the same token, silver and gold sellers by definition prefer to receive fiat rather than to hold silver and gold. From this perspective, no exchange would be profitable. Yet, obviously they are profitable since they exist. There's a spread at work, I just can't see it.

That’s an interesting conundrum…silver dealers accepting fiat (which they dismiss as unsafe and of questionable value) to purchase silver (which they say is real money). My own answer to this is twofold: 1) a grocer sells bananas for dollar bills which have no nutritional value and 2) the grocer, bullion dealer and you and I live in the fiat prison (if we ever go to Walmart, a gas station or need to pay our electricity bill). Besides, the silver sellers definitely have their own, personal PMs…and the grocer has a well stocked pantry at home….and one would hope the cobbler’s children have shoes.
