Jax takes this as an opportunity to teach her how to be a bad person in a song inspired by "No Girl's Toy" from Raggedy Ann & Andy A Musical Adventure!

This Labor of Love took seven months to produce, in no small part due to getting THE OFFICIAL CAST OF THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS to perform! This IS still a fansong and is in no way canon, but their performances helped bring my raggedy little musical adventure to life. I also love how a prank from beyond the grave-ish from Kaufmo keeps Jax from spiraling, like how Jax pranks the others to distract himself and keep _them_ from spiraling! The fact that his own methods work on himself is proof they really work, I guess? 😅 Either way it's another example of great storytelling! Really ties everything together perfectly!

Let's be honest, that ending was heartbreaking. Seeing Jax trying to cope with the other cast members disappearance is really sad. This is incredibly well made and i want to congratulate the entire crew on this one! I shall play it on repeat!

I kinda love the idea that while Jax loves to torture the crew, it also comes from a good place. Also that scene in the ends of Jax looking at past photos of the members and freaking out when he realizes he’ll never see those photos again was AMAZING

The way you portray the characters in a light like no others is just so amusing to me. And seeing Jax really did have something to hide and the reason he even clowns around is just adding more depth to the character we once thought was nothing but an overgrown jerk. And the fact you were able to get the OG cast too is flabbergasting. Like HOW???? I'm actually so happy that I got to listen to this and I hope you keep making more bangers like this in the future! *Also the way Pomni starts getting into it to the point Zooble is now annoyed by Pomni I CANT-*

I was having so much fun at the beginning of the song. It was so lighthearted and fun. They literally threw in a tap section, nothing ever goes wrong in a song with a tap section. And then we go from happy and mischievous song, to just sheer digital existential dread over seeing everyone you have grown to know and somewhat love leave you and it potentially being your fault. RecD, you didn't have to break my heart like that man!

Oh man I genuinely love this song so much with Jax corrupting Pomni and trying to help her see the brighter side of things in the circus and it really pulled at my heart near the end when Jax gets all emotional about Kaufmo and the others. This was an absolute delight. Also the raggedy Ann and andy reference at 3:43 genuinely had me making monkey noises, flailing my hands around, and spinning around the room for like 2 minutes I’m not even kidding.

One of my favorite details about this video is the change in portraits. The farther in time you go, the happier and closer everyone sees to be. It also brings up a very important question in mind: Why bother to befriend anyone when they’ll eventually go? Props to the animators and voice actors involved in the song, especially Lizzie and Michael!

I really wanna see this relationship happen in the real show. Not only could it cause Pomni to get used to her digital world and become real friends with the other cast members, but it could also give us more insight into Jax’s backstory and character, and maybe allow him to open up to everyone else. Gooseworx had said Jax is a horrible person, but she never said Jax didn’t have feelings towards others. Maybe trauma is why he’s so bad?

It’s interesting to see a more sympathetic version of Jax, even if it’s completely inaccurate as we’ve learned. But I love the concept all the same! Michael really can sing a tune! Also it still sucks to this day that Tabi had to be axed, I feel like you guys worked so hard on it. But I’m enjoying all the greatness you come out with regardless!

I love the fact that RecD somehow managed to get the actual voice actors for this video. Also, I really love the idea of Jax in one episode making friends with Pomni and showing her his cool pranks and how he copes with being stuck in the circus. That’d be cool. Too bad that probably won’t actually happen, though. :( Also, poor Jax. I bet he and Kaufmo probably might’ve actually been friends before he abstracted. :(

I LOVE how so many fan songs are getting the cast members to sing in them, but even when they don't these songs are all amazing to listen to! Funny Things was worth. the. wait you guys!! OH MY GOSH ANOTHER RECD AMAZING ORIGINAL SONG?? I loved all of it so much, I love how we see Jax’s point of view, I love how he manipulates Pomni, I love the Raggedy Andy references, I love the tap dance solo (every song becomes 100x better with a tap dance solo cough cough Devil’s in the Details), I love how the audience slowly realizes Pomni is kind of like Kaufmo to Jax, I love how the picture tears away to reveal Queenie (who is my favorite), and I love Jax’s emotional moment at the Gallery. 10/10 song I love it so much I ate my chair

Jax in this song is so relatable at least to me. I lost my old friend group and it a tough time in life, I’m in a new one now and I try make everyone laugh, it makes feels like I’m doing something right for once

This gives me huge musical vibes and I love it! Honestly pretty great song, nicely animated too! I also really love the scene with Ragatha, never thought that whole “fear of centipedes” thing brought up in the pilot would be used in anything related to the show! Overall, another banger.
