I was trying to merge the 4 tracks of a FOA microphone that were recorded into separate mono channels instead of a quad track and this was such a massive help! There was no way of processing them from A-format to B-format without merging them first. Thank you so much. Now, I can focus on my other headache-provoking VR ventures hahaha!

I was looking for this tutorial throughout the web thanks I arrived here. After many major DAWS cancelled on 32 bit plugins and Reaper being the Last Daw Standing, I needed this effect for I like to record processed vocal sounds. Thanks a million!

You're videos are so helpful for beginners to reaper. Very clearly explained. Hopeful reaper will make many of these routing steps into a script out of the box so it becomes a 1 or 2 clicks for new comers to reaper

This one is very interesting for electronic music for sampling your own Sounds and loading them into a Sampler to mangle them.

Thanks a million. I have a super buggy bagpipe plugin that behaves quite erratic. No way of reproducing the same performance twice. Sometimes even no way to ensure that it performs at all. And rendering produces completely unusable results, even with project rendering at real time. The only way to use it seems to be recording what it actually sends out during playback. Thank you so much for getting me through Reaper's jungle of possibilities.

Kenny you're a legend! I'm now using this to set up a bunch of Super 8 loopers so I can record heaps of tracks live and keep all the layers separate. Being able to record output helps heaps with it, thanks!

oh cool, thanks again. I really need this for building an orchestral template to have all the tracks ready for making organized stems. Then I can Highlight all the tracks with the fx and temporarily disable fx and just mix the stems. Is a trick I saw a few DAW composers using in Logic.

I have 2 questions for anyone willing to help me out 1) let’s say I record drums for a verse as one take, and drums for a chorus in another, and I’ve done this on separate tracks because I don’t want to deal with crossfades. Can I record the verse and chorus tracks to a new track that includes both of them? 2) can this be done in Ableton Live?

Hi why do we have to duplicate the track? is there a hidden purpose? why not just create a new track so we don't have to delete fx and automations.. thnx

Thanks for this. Can I route an already-recorded piano audio track to a MIDI track and have that produce a useable MIDI track, i.e., separate MIDI events, representing the separate piano notes and chords?

Hello! Thank you for your lessons. I have a question ... How from one MIDI track, on which, say, an arpeggiator, to record in another MIDI track with ready-made arpeggio notes? Sorry for my English. I hope the question is clear. Sincerely, Alexander.

This method is the way to go if you are using any hardware inserts, especially when using the ReaInsert plugin to add a hardware send in the middle of a track fx chain. Hardware inserts can of course not be rendered in non-realtime like plugins can when using "render track" or "freeze track".

Reaper is beginning to annoy the hell outta me in terms of creating 1/16th notes for drums I set it on the snap grid set it on the midi sequencer grid even on the built in arppeggiator and it's still off beat I'm about to give up cause I've tried everything ,sorry Mr Kenny it's off topic but I had to vent .
@CaptainVita
@CaptainVita 5 жыл бұрын
Did you change something in the settings? Did you maybe change the grid to triplets? Did you maybe turn of snap and your MIDI item is not exactly aligned? Check your Snap and Grid Settings and the Project Settings or just reinstall the latest Version of REAPER.

Man this is helpful to know, but I wish you wouldn't say "we turn off the parent sends on 'this' track", and "we do X thing 'here'.", so much. You do have some blind viewers (listeners), and when hitting things like "this" and "here", it turns an otherwise helpful lesson, into a series of trial and error steps and guess work for us. Please remember your blind subscribers when describing things on screen! Thanks. 👨🏻‍🦯
