The pop shield with the headphone mic is so good. I wonder if phones will do the same with microphones that they have with cameras... maybe over the next few years they'll become incredibly good quality! This video is full of incredible advice. Thanks man.

Yessuh!!! Appreciate the tips, I have a type a / mini USB mic trying to figure out how to use it with my interface that I recently got. Tweeking my vocals and beats for the best quality possible. I think I need an adapter for the big end of the USB cable that connects my mic to my interface

I can relate to that "earbuds + pop filter + tape thingy" 😜 it works and it gives you a decent vocal quality sound 😊 thank you for sharing.. hopefully you can give us tips on how to control the volume for vocal + background music that's actually my challenges whenever i edit my recording 😒

An audio interface is needed for many things. If you only wanting to record vocals, I recommend a USB microphone to save money.

I have that usb microphone, after watching your videos! However, all I get when plugging it in, either into the desktop bandlab or on my phone or tablet, all I get is a loud hiss, even if I turn off the monitoring, there's only loud hiss recorded? Thank you for goofy inspiration always!

Hey Eumonik! The thing is, I've to always switch to headphones instead of using my earplugs, Whenever am trying to sing on a track with my earplugs on, and I select that tiny lil headphone thingy, at the left-hand side bottom corner, so that the other track voice can't b re-recorded, but it does record the others. Whereas Ion face any problem like this with headphones, can you help? Btw, YOU'RE AMAZING!!

The headphone icon is for monitoring, or hearing the input. Make sure you are recording new vocals on a separate track

Work within your budget. USB microphones keep getting better, if you don't need the additional options and features from using an audio interface, then save some money

Or, how about each of the band member's speaker is individually mic. 5 members means 5 mics. Those 5 mics are connected to a smart phone app that's like a mixer n there n then mixed. The mixed then is saved or played straight out to a monitor or headphone. Any chance we are anywhere something like that with the current technology?
