For you watching: you must have realized How Record entered a sort of pattern from 1990 onwards. Thats because from 1953 to 1990 Record was owned by businessman Paulo machado de carvalho. Record was a local station with no plans of becoming a network. In the early 70s Record entered a chaotic Financial state and Paulo decided to sell 50% of his shares of the station, those were bought by the owner of SBT, Silvio Santos (back then SBT didnt exist yet.) As the years went on, Record became divided as Paulo and Silvio tried to balance the station, and they became sort of frenemies. As the 80s Started, Silvio built SBT from the remains of rede tupi. He Saw Record as a kind of drag that kept him from investing ALL his money on SBT. The original plan was for Silvio to sell his part to Paulo machado, but Paulo couldnt afford It as Record was losing audience. They did profit, but It was minimal. Although Record made almost no money back then, It is considered to this day record's Golden era for having a healthy programming and a small, but Stable audience. As 1989 Started and Paulo made a balance of the station's bank account, he found out that If they didnt do anything, Record would have to close by december 1990. Then, they made the tough decision to sell the station. This wasnt as hard for Silvio, but for Paulo machado It was. To him, Record was everything he had, but he didnt want to see his creation die, so he sold his share too. The buyer was revealed as Edir macedo, a Very controversial Priest. As the years went by, he managed to Turn Record into a National network, which then became international. But at the cost of that, Record's programming became slightly unhealthy and they got a bad reputation. With Record out of his hands, Silvio went ALL in on SBT, and Paulo machado could finally relax, spending his final years retired. He passed away peacefully in 1992.

Buddy, you forgot one information: Since 1990 the network is property of the businessman and evangelical bishop Edir Macedo, who is leader of the universal god's king church

The Record bumbers from the 80s were simpler compared to the record vignettes from the 89s to the 9th, which was already managed by pastor Edir Macedo
