As someone who takes the Tappen Zee Bridge regularly, im suprised the original didnt fall apart and cause a big accident before the new one was built. Was honestly scary going across it towards the end of its use. Also the new one's name was changed by the former New York Governor to honor his dad. Offically the new one is the Mario Cuomo Bridge but everyone hates that and the former Governor so no one calls it that and just still calls it the Tappen Zee. Was very suprised to see it in the vid.

I'm sure RCE was unaware of this, but could not be happier he used the correct name (i.e. Tappan Zee). One day, we will give that bridge back it's real name.

The original looked better imo. Cable Stayed bridges are so commonplace and lack any character (with the exception of Calatrava's beautiful Sundial Bridge). The Tappan Zee in particular is a just ugly with the way the cable towers lean out and the overuse of concrete in the most unappealing way possible... To be blunt its an eyesore.

I think one of the big reasons why cable stay and suspension bridges in Holly Ridge are always so rickety is because the road pieces are free to rotate themselves. I think if you add a small, very tiny Truss underneath the road to make the entire road rigid, that would help a lot with your Bridges moving so much and breaking.

It's potentially not named that way for long, the legislature has been working on renaming it again. Naming a bridge after an ex-governor while his son is governor smelled bad enough, then when he had to quit because of controversy it became worse. A good reason to not name bridges after politicians I guess. Too much political mess.

In regards to the Tappen Zee Bridge, it was quite literally falling apart while the construction of the new bridge was going on. Workers for the new bridge claimed to have seen small pieces of the original bridge fall into the water below as the bridge remained opened with traffic passing overhead

The Astoria-Megler bridge should be added to the wheel, its a cantilever truss bridge that connects Washington and Oregon. Its main span is the longest continuous truss in North America at 1,232 ft (375.5 meters) and the whole bridge is 4.1 miles (6.6 km) long. It also gives about 200 ft (61 meters) of clearance over the water which creates a quite interesting off and on ramp on the Oregon side of the bridge. The Tacoma Narrows would be a good option too especially with the original bridge Galloping Gertie having collapsed and the 2 narrows bridges being built to replace it making a good story and representation of what torsion can do to a bridge

For your last bridge, I thought you were built the bridge next to the ocean. And I forgot about the bridge that's next to the lake, that goes over the river, so I did not guess correctly for your last bridge... well, I didn't guess any of your bridges, but you have an act for building realistic looking bridges on a game that has simple design. Good up, the good, and thank you for providing entrainment for all of us.

I nominate Bridge 9340, aka the I-35W Mississippi River bridge. It may not have a fancy name, but after seeing the first bridge in today's video that was replaced because it was getting old I was reminded of this bridge in Minneapolis that was replaced after it collapsed in 2007. The bridge had been graded as 'structurally deficient' 17 years prior, but wasn't scheduled for renewal for another 13 years AFTER it's collapse. The ultimate cause being identified as 'steel gusset plates that were undersized and inadequate to support the intended load of the bridge'.

The bridge I see when I go out everyday, the Uddevalla Bridge. It was constructed in 2000 to shorten the time on the E6; the road connecting the most northern part of Norway to the most southern part of Sweden(3058km) by about 20 minutes. It’s a really iconic bridge by its scenery, and the fact that the whole town can see it. Anyone who has visited the west coast of Sweden HAS been on it. It was the only bridge I would draw if someone asked me to draw a bridge as a tiny one

Its a really nice story! i hope you tell that when you gonna draw this bridge!

I would love to propose the Huey P Long Bridge in New Orleans Louisiana. It’s a HUGE spanning bridge that had a ton of unique challenges from an engineering perspective. I thought you were recreating the Tappan Zee (now the Governor Mario M. Cuomo) Bridge! Poly Bridge cannot do it justice due to the curves leading onto and off the bridge and outward angles of the main support. The new one is SOOOO much better to dive on than the previous. More lanes for cars, busses, and more room in general. The highway on the eastern side was redone as well. We did lose the machine that moves barricades between lanes like a zipper though. TY RCE!

It was a train bridge that was partially destroyed by a rare tornado in 2003 and has since been turned into a 600ft long skywalk with a glass floor at the end looking down upon all of the twisted steel still lying in the valley below. Show Wisconsin, USA some love! Our biggest bridge is Bong Memorial Bridge / 11,800 feet long in Superior. Our most expensive bridge is The St. Croix Crossing which to some it is considered to be the most expensive bridge project in the USA!

Being born in Lancashire there aren't too many bridges you could replicate but a bridge you could add to the *Wheel of Bridgetune* is The Martholme Viaduct. It's near Liverpool and I live in Blackpool so close enough.

I've driven over the Tappan Zee bridge. Such a cool bridge, but there was so much traffic when they were switching it.

You should try to build the Quebec Bridge, built in 1919 and after a bridge collapse during its construction in 1907, it is a cantilever bridge spanning the Saint Lawrence river in Canada. It is also one of the longest cantilevering bridge in the world.

There’s a bridge on the border of Maine/New Hampshire called the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge which is a neat bridge because it’s a drawbridge with a road and train line.

Calatrava Bridge, in the Italian city of Reggio Emilia, is a wonderful viaduct over Italy's main Highway. You should check that out!

Could you add the Tokyo Gate Bridge to the list? I love the shape of the Tokyo Gate Bridge. It's a great cantilever truss bridge. Called the dinosaur bridge because it looks like 2 dinosaurs. Designed that way to allow supertankers under its main span, and due to the height requirements imposed by Haneda airport they were unable to use a cable-stayed structure.
