Was irrationally expecting a sequel announcement at the end of this video. But Cory saying he really wants to tell the story of Kratos and Faye got me hyped. You know they are working on it. Just have to wait patiently.

I want to hear EVERYTHING Cory Barlog has to say.

Before seeing this, I saw the "Raising Kratos" which I think is a must see, and just seeing him smiling and happy makes me feel good. I mean I never imagined the stress and time it took to make the game. He is a true God and hope he continues to do what he loves.

A buddy of mine grew up playing the God of War games and I'll never forget his response when he first saw the new GoW trailer. He was so opposed and disappointed. I was shocked by this response because A) dude was always a huge GoW fan and B) the game looked freaking amazing. We eventually had to agree to disagree. Then, in 2018, the game released. I bought it and he didn't, until he saw the raving reviews. It felt like such a victory to say "told ya."

I feel so relieved to see Cory say that Kratos is what makes God of War, God of War. Not the mythology alone. That means he won't be killed off or replaced. Well... at least as long as Cory is the director.

I can just listen to him all day talking about games. I cant wait to see his next project

God of war 2018 was one of the best 10/10 game. Now, the real challenge begins for cory because the expectations are gonna be sooo damn high for next game.

Mr. Barlog is easily becoming one of my major inspirations as a writer and game designer. I completely agree with his concept of characters 'failing forward' - they suffer their failures, but keep going. It creates a compelling story, but far more difficult to achieve in games than one might think.

I usually never comment but have been following this channel for a really really long time now. And as a Computer Science Undergrad Student who really started to lose any sense of passion in the tech field, it’s really refreshing to watch these kinds of interviews, really gives me hope that maybe somewhere within the industry if you find a passionate team to work with, you can find happiness in your work and what you do, thank you for uploading this, it touched me on a deeper level even though I never even thought that it would. I hope one day to find some happiness in my career path.

God of War is so inspirational. Him and Santa Monica team deserved all the credit. It’s easily the best game of 2018 and game of the year. We could see lots of love, sweat and tears of developers in the game. I am looking forward to see their new titles soon.

I love Cory’s viewpoint on change within the DNA makeup of a franchise. There are so many iconic game franchises that have fallen within the vein of mundanity and stagnation because the game developers simply refuse change. Halo is a prime example of that in my opinion, and I’m hoping that 343 Industries matures Master Chief and delves deeper into his character in Halo Infinite. God of War is the gold standard of change done right, and I’d love to see more game franchises chance that exact same risk so that they can evolve and become even better than they would have been otherwise.
