I love the glow up!! Congrats on your anniversary on KZfaq! I remember that first set you posted. It feels like it was just a few heartbeats ago. Regarding making sets you don't like - this is the curse of every nail tech and artist, I am afraid. I can count the number of sets I've made over the years that I am truly happy with, and it is a very short list. It's also a blessing, though, and it will drive your growth as you continue analyzing what you would change about the art you've created. Thank you for sharing the journey of the last year, it's wonderful to see an artist developing and honing their craft, and I am excited to see what you get up to in year 2!!

My sister has Down Syndrome. Loves nails! My mom would drop her off every other week for a new set. The salon let her real nails grow out then started gel polishing them and taking her money for a “full acrylic set”. Idk how long this happen to her but that’s when I said “you know what ima learn nails” now I’m all over social media to teach myself! Doing my sisters nails!

Kinda long reply alert ‼️ first off I love that peach color and then girl it took me well into my 20s to go n get my nails did at the shop n I jus turned 34 on Valentine’s Day but once i started going. I was hooked then one day I got a set with rhinestones and plus I like my nails long they came out to 140$ 😮I cudnt believe it and that was about 6 yrs ago I kept looking at them n was like I can do this at home and ever since I’ve been doin my own nails saving soooo much money but u are doing great girl and even after all that time of doing my own nails I’m still no Whr near a pro but they work for me n I love it

I will say when you get cuticle nippers try to find nippers that have the smallest blades possible because normally nippers with bigger or larger blades on them make it prone to where you Nick yourself easily and like in your first attempt photo can cause severe irritation and bleeding like that if you ever go to a nail supply store (you have to check sometimes because some nail supply stores will accept non-licensed customers) I recommend you looking at nippers physically in person and compare the size of the blades to one another.

both sets were cute! the og one looked painful but the elements were cooking. just as a heads up, the dotting process might have gone easier if you used the next size down dotting tool. i just did a set with the size you're using and figured out too late that i should use the smaller one. i wanna try this set on myself soon.

The nails did up nice however as another at home nail enthusiast (i’m not professional at all I learned from my own horrible experience 😅) your nails are severely damaged and can really lower the lasting quality of your nails. They do look like they’re over filed which can lead to the nail lifting from the nail plate. Some things I learned was as a beginner it’s okay to use a buffing block to prep the nail beds until I learned how to use an e-file without overfiling . Certain cheap primers can chemically damage nail beds. Always sanitize your tools after using them on yourself I didn’t do that and two of my nails got infected they started to lift and I almost lost my entire nail. Also it takes 6 months to get a whole new nail. Since you use gel x I definitely recommend a rubber base coat to protect your nails while wearing longer nails or whenever you need a nail break. I really left this information not to judge at all but so you can have pretty nails even longer. Hope to see more videos in the future

In my experience, blooming gel will make the gel spread out pretty evenly, which doesn't really create the soft blush effect I was going for, but it's a good thought!

can you please do a video teaching us step-by-step how to create a set for beginners? 🥺 like i do have all the stuff (you mentioned from your previous video) to create a set of nails but I'm a bit intimidated on how to start what to use idk why gel gets sticky after uv light or when to use acitone, or how to wipe up a mistake and idk what bits to use ahhh pleasee help us walk us through a set step by step 😰 I really want to do my own nails since it is very expencive but i just dont know how to deal with gel polish 😭
