Recreating the Tom Ford breastplate

Hi loves!
I've been obsessed with a revived fashion trend: The breastplate. Made famous by Mugler and Issey Miyake in the late 90's, this piece is finally back but costs an arm and a leg, so I figured how to make it for lesss than a quarter of the original price. Hello! I loved it! Would you mind sharing the brand and model of the grinder tool you used to cut and polish? I made a breast plate myself for the RWT, but used a soldering iron to cut the mannequin and then removed the burnt plastic with a diagonal pliers. Then sanded them. Had to do this in two days! Including the painting.

They’re called thermal drills. They have sets where you can change the head of them

Hi there 😊. Please check your local clothing stores, they usually throw them out or have one extra lying around. Otherwise you can get them online but they are a little pricey and come in bulk.

Thank you 💕. I did not find any bubbles. The key to a smooth finish was spraying from a distance and using a good quality spray

Hi there 😊. I got it from someone I know, who owns a clothing store. You can get it online, some clothing stores usually throw them out once they get new ones, ask around.
