Recycled Christmas Card Star Ornaments

A simple and easy craft to do with recycled Christmas cards!! All you need is 2 Christmas cards, scissors, glue and 15 minutes. Couldn't be easier!! You can also use cardstock, scrapbooking paper, magazine or book pages, junkmail, etc.

And sorry for the 'chirping' in this video. It's my camera adjusting the white balance and focus. It's gotten bad, especially in this video, and I will be using a new camera in future videos. :-)

I hate throwing away Christmas cards because of the sentiment attached to them and because many of them are so pretty. Thanks for another idea of what to do with them.

I made one and the covered it with my glue and glittered it all over. I did use my hot glue gun to seal the folds and put them together and it works well. They are so beautiful and I really like being able to reuse my old Christmas cards. Thnx so much for sharing! I plant to make a larger one for my topper and then smaller ones for more decorations.

Lol, this made me laugh! I just did a video on what you can do with your recycled cards! Will probably upload it tomorrow, mine is pretty simple, just cut and glue the card just about anywhere lol. LOVE this Jason, I will be trying this 4 sure, so very pretty! Oh my you have quick fingers lol. Christmas cards are too pretty to throw away, so I'm glad to see you recycle them too! Love this!!!

Wonderful idea. You could also spray paint them if you wanted a solid color. However, with people using so much email now, mailing out Christmas cards may become a thing of the past. How Sad but thanks for posting

Love the stars!!! I didn't notice the chirping or bo bo finger!! Guess I need to go to bed!! I saw the most awesome scrapbook paper @ Mixhaels that is solid gold glitter that would make wonderful stars but at $2. a sheet I'll wait til after Christmas and hope it goes to 75% off. Or make my own. Til then I will make them out of old cards I've stockpiled. Thanks for de-mystifying the process!!

okay first,..how awesome is Craigslist lady giving you those cards? OH FUCK! I see your thumb that you nearly cut off! YIKERS! It doesn't look good :(( This is pretty awesome. Will bookmark and make for next year when I can send a crapload of people on over.
