There are still many things that need to fall into place before the second coming of Christ and they haven't happened yet. There is a possibility of a nuclear war. Only God knows. If a child is abused or abducted you don't pretend it doesn't affect you. Or a woman enslaved by sex traffickers. You pray, do what you can if you can. You prep as you can because you always make sure you have enough to share. Remember the oil in the lamps waiting for the bridegroom, some lost out because they weren't paying attention. They ignored what they should have paid attention to. The Lord does protect, but he doesn't bless arrogance. You keep the gas filled in your car, you keep your eyes open, you let go of fear, you help where you can and always do the next right thing. We pray for mercy and grace to help us know what the Lord requires of us each day. The Lord has given each of us gifts that we use for the good of our brothers and sisters. They are not for puffing ourselves up, but to serve the Kingdom. Do you know first aid? or have other gifts that are useful to serve the Body of Christ when needed? Even Jesus said only the Father knows the time, but it seems like so many are jumping the gun. Christians throughout the generations were not spared hard times. And they loved the Lord!
