Red-billed Oxpeckers feeding on giraffe, zebra, warthog, impala, and nyala, viewed from the hide in Mkuze game reserve. Great background Oxpecker and numerous other bird calls.

Look up crow picking ticks from wallabies. At the same moment the most disgusting and satisfying stuff you will find. Ticks are the size of a marble

And if you don't have any parasites on you the oxpeckers will just open a wound and consume your blood. They're not so symbiotic after all.

You should watch Oxpecker feed off the rotting flesh of a hippo. I am not sure whether "everything made so good" is what comes to mind. Rather, what a horror show.

@@omnivorous65 Sometimes food is scarce and the scene that you saw may happen. But in all things I personally believe God has made it for abundance amount of food. Fish has so many eggs and we may have lots of fish. The reproduction system of plants and fruit plants are amazing and with good care they should supply mankind and other animals abundantly.

Those who don't accept the grooming are usually without ticks. Ticks itch and are therefore easily determined by the host of their presence. Oxpeckers on the other hand love blood and can sometimes be excessive in that they would sometimes look for vulnerabilities in the skin to create bleeding and therefore be expelled by some of the mammals
