Red Bull Art of Motion 2021: Mathieu Larose-Sabourin / Matt Larose
When I heard that there will be an online Red Bull Art of Motion competition this year, I took that as an opportunity. I haven't done any freerunning line of this difficulty level in way too long. In the past years, I went through a lot of fails/injuries that got me out of training for multiple months and I couldn't gain the confidence to come back for the past 2-3 years. Now with that submission I challenged myself to do the best I could with the skills I still have. I am very happy I was able to complete a full submission without any injuries. I can't say I'm back, but I can say I am satisfied with my abilities. At almost 30 y/o now, my main goal is to perform at a level that still challenges me while taking care of my body so I can continue to play parkour as long as possible. Thanks to everyone who supported me. Especially my Minou Tam and her unlimited patience and love. ❤️

I was thinking about you recently, wondering how you doing. I remember you as being one of my first inspirations for doing parkour years ago. Suddenly this video popped in my recommendations and holy shit..... you are so damn good! You are even better than years ago! Those lines were amazing and while watching I said to myself: "what a nice style". Those lines were literally perfect!

Thanks bro! To be honest this submission was more about proving myself I can still do lines than trying to win. And i’m happy with the result. So many good submissions with well connected hard tricks deserves to get in!

The flow and speed is insane and the best I have seen. An the lines look just way to clean, but it's probably a bit to few tricks for Art of motion, but whatever. Really nice video!!!

I’m honestly surprised you don’t wear gloves, is there a reason? I would’ve thought they would be good not only for the grip but also to protect your hands which have gotta be all scratched up with all the rough surfaces they have to grab onto
