I'm a little surprised that you two couldn't ride together. Great vid, shame they don't allow vids of the event. Also, great to see Patsy actually present---so many teams in motorsport use the founders name, but they are never to be seen or heard of! Years ago I did a one day Desert Rose beginner class on of course KTM690 R??. It was very well run, and of course I did not expect her to be present at a beginner school, but it would have been a bonus to meet the legend. A similar name Craig Bounds (in Wales) is Black Desert Racing? He is totally awesome, you should check him out, if you don't already know him? (A charming partner /wife too Tamsin, who was the first Romaniacs lady finisher, I think she killed Dakar too).I suspect you do know him. So, the big huge enormous question is you two....which year are you doing Dakar? hehe

It irritates me so badly to see how so many companies threaten to sue you at the drop of a hat. I called a company once (in the trucking industry) who specializes in teaching safe driving techniques for truck drivers, because I believe that many of the things that they teach are very useful in the motorcycle world as well. I even used to be a certified trainer in this particular company's methods. When I called and asked them if they'd be interested in working with me to create a slightly modified version of their curriculum for motorcycling, I was told swiftly and firmly - before I could even respond - that not only would they not put any effort into anything, but that if they found out that I had used any of their curriculum in any way or even SAID THEIR NAME publicly, that they would "pursue me through any and all legal channels available". So they threatened to sue me when all I did was ASK if they'd like to collaborate on something! I felt that same anger come up when I found out that Vanessa had been threatened by Red Bull. What a bunch of dips***s. They have a great opportunity to have high-quality content produced about their event, that they can reap benefit from, with NO WORK ON THEIR PART, and they instead threaten legal action. I hate lawyers.
