I feel Red Bull being involved gives us a massive boost. Their network is one of the best in the world, you only have to look at players they've managed to bring in to Leipzig for example. There is no doubt in my mind Leeds are if not already but certainly in the near future going to be the Red Bull flagship club. You only have to look at the quality they get through their doors in Germany and Austria, I feel the difference with Leeds is, if we can get back to the premier league we are more able to retain the players whereas Leipzig have moved them on. We are talking names like Gvardiol, Sabitzer, Werner, Nkunku, to name but a few recent high profile transfers. Exciting times.

Like your vids Conor and also very optimistic about Red Bull, but can't get behind that thumbnail. There's a hard line between sponsorship (great) and altering the club DNA (where we'd all be out). They'll probably look at that and think we want it. Keep up the good work though!

I think this deal is going to be great for Leeds United, I just err on the side of caution because I can’t see red bull investing and not wanting to eventually take over. Call it cautious optimism.

It’s not 200m and it’s not 60m this season, a quick google tells you that’s not correct

I think that our owners should start the stadium expansion now, the longer we leave it we lose missed out on revenue with a season ticket waiting list that was reported as 22,000, plus the costs to build will only go up the longer we leave it. We also should be targeting 60,000 not 55,000.

I wonder if there will be scope for loans from the other red bull teams

Don’t agree-the normal state of affairs-is that they choose Sheffield Wednesday and we all think how the F has that just happened. Why did they not choose the obvious one-being Leeds?!!!

Is the 60m and 300m over 3 years the money received from the name being on the shirt? Or is some or all of that capital investment. Capital investment will not help for PSR.

Its not the end of the world if the build a new stadium like they did in America, 200 million is a lot to pay for shirt sponsorship, is half the 100 million estimated cost of Elland Road stadium? And half for the shirt sponsorship,seems more likely to me than 200million for shirt sponsorship

Conor, we mustn't be shortsighted and be careful what we wish for? How often do we judge other clubs and say they have sold their soul? In 7 years none of us want to support Leeds Red Bulls playing at Red Bull Arena.

I can’t see Red Bull being satisfied with a “minority” stake going forward. I do feel there is more to this and Red Bull intend to have at least a majority share, if not total ownership in the future. We are not a Leipzig or Salzburg so I believe RB will handle things with respect, keeping the name as is etc. The stadium could be the main arguing point, I believe they would want to name it “Red Bull Stadium” which for me is not a problem. If it opens the turnstiles to more fans, state of the art facilities and 60,000 + capacity then I can live with it. It will still be on Elland Road, we can still name one of the stands “Don Revie Stand”, so I can’t see how the fans could argue against it. Moving forward with RB who want to be at the top in sport and regarded as the front runners in training and development can only be a good thing, they are already proven winners and I am excited to see where this journey takes us. I’m sure there are many teams who would want to be in this position with the backing of Red Bull

As long as they don’t change our name or try and scrub our history I don’t care if they sponsor us or own a minority share. I really don’t even care about their logo, hopefully the legislation coming in prevents most of that anyway I just want us to be successful again and maybe just maybe one day see some of those European nights again.

This is wrong regarding taking over RB Leipzig... it never happened. There was *huge* uproar and protests when RB wanted to takeover east german FC Sachsen Leipzig, to the point where the plan collapsed, they then had a deal collapse with FC St Pauli in Hamburg, and huge protests for a proposal in Dusseldorf too. They then created a *NEW* club in Leipzig, and bought a playing license from SSV Markranstädt so they didn't have to start right at the bottom of the pyramid....

Is it just me who's a little skeptical about the red bull thing? Especially after we appointed Marsch and signed bunch of players in their franchise, feels like something behind the scenes has been leaning towards this for a while. They've also changed the name and branding of every team they've been involved with in and out of football. Not saying this will happen now or that they have the power to right away but if they became the majority shareholders down the line who's to say they wouldn't change the badge, name of the team, colour scheme of the club and or name of the ground we will all be gutted. Is there stuff in place to stop this? By all means slap a load of red bull sponsors everywhere if you're going to give us a load of money but that's the limit. P.S. R.I.P Rob Burrows

What do you mean? Red Bull are struggling in F1? They have just won 5 and came 2nd once in the last 8 Grand Prix in 2024. Do your research mate!

Listen red bull wouldnt just come into Leeds united and agree to buy a minority stake without some kind of incentive. Yes Leeds have a decent big fan base in England and all over the world. But a brand that big only wants to tap into different sports and markets to further bolster its exposure globally. For me it’s clear. They were never just going to come in and steam roll their way to the top of the club like they did with Leipzig and Salzburg. Who knows maybe it’s SF49ers and RB who are being cute and having guile as some sort of longer term strategy. They all know between them it wouldn’t be accepted if after a year the 49ers wanted out and they sold their shares for a huge sum to the RB network. I think further down the line there will be an offer made and if it meets the return on investment for the 49ers they will sell the club if in instalments or in one go. Likely hood to be in increments. That’s my take on it. But I could be completely wrong and this could be a prosperous and harmonious working relationship which benefits both parties for years to come. Hope it is that.
