Today my plan B tuned into a plan E and after a 1.500m+ hike from the Vinschgau valley up northwards, the wind became more and more strong than the weather prediction told us. After a lot of waiting I decided to walk down - it was just too risky to launch. But a couple of hundred meters down, I found a take off, even if it was a rough one. Around midday I finally flew towards Meran, landed, hiked up, and got until Sarntal. There I realised that the other athletes had caught up to me already due the way better conditions in the West - the race in the race has started. Congratulations to Manuel Nübel who arrived to the turnpoint Kronplatz just 30min before me. Let’s see if I can catch up 😉
