Konami took inspiration from this as well and implemented it into their serious football game(pro evolution soccer,efootball nowadays)You could choose silly costumes/skins like these. Oh I miss the days where games weren't taken so serious

I PLAYED THIS GAME!!! Sorry for shouting but I played this game as a kid with my dad! I’ve never been a fan of sports games, and I’ll openly admit that I sucked at playing them, too. Never once did I beat my dad in any sport based video game we ever played together. But playing these games together with him was a bright light in an otherwise dark part of both of our lives. So thank you for bringing this game, which holds a very special place in my memories, some modern attention.

This game has a key memory for me. Finding a game where I could 2 foot the ref if I got frustrated. I was already well know between my friends and brothers for spamming slide tackles in pes at the time so finding this game was a match made in heaven.
