She was the best. Thanks to her I learned to laugh and make fun at every bad moment in my life. I overcame any obstacle, any horrible experience through her method of comedy. She was a survivor, and people who have gone through emotional turmoil and are able to laugh about it and poke fun at it, got her sense of humor. I will miss this woman.

She had so much talent at making people laugh. Though some people did not enjoy some of the things she said, it was how she was and how she felt. Comedy is not meant to hurt people, but to make people laugh. It is very hard to come up with new comedy while still being funny. She was such a great talented Lady!

For a woman who went throught so many adversities in her life, as well as so many blessings, she handled both with dignity, but mainly with laughter. I think that was her pain killer which was transmitted to us who were able to understand her humor instead of feeling attacked, Mellisa, I am sure you are a strong as your Mom was. Keep her steps and I wish you many blessings with your kid a your career. You had a wonderful Mother.

Wow, so much hate in the comments for just this one person who brought laughter and joy to so many peoples lives. The world doesn't have enough of this as it is and it shows by many of your attitudes. If she wasn't your cup of tea then simply ignore her and watch/listen to someone who makes you laugh. And if no one does...then help us all.

Miss Tune shut up bitch. You're just spreading hate and ignorance. All your comments are false arguments and lies. You wrote about Joan not helping anyone and when faced with her extensive charity work with people with hiv/aids you decided to look away and claim some celebrity PR bullshit. Joan never publicized her charity. I want you to know that you are a piece of shit and will stay that way no matter how many people you attack to make you feel righteous. And if you can't differentiate a joke from real life then you're a sad asshole

I am so very very glad that they had the type of funeral that Joan wanted. Great way for it to be I think. I really dislike all the ones that get on here and do nothing but just make really bad remarks about Joan and her comedy and her life. While her comedy touched a lot of people in a lot of different ways that is all it was ever meant to be was comedy. And to degrade her now when she is dead truly makes the ones that do that worse than anyone I can ever think of for they are only hurting her daughter, her grandson and her family. And for that SHAME on the ones doing that.......God Bless you Melissa and Cooper and yes your Mom and Grandmother was great and may she rest in peace now.....

Truth about Joan: Sure, I know haters will show up on this video soon wishing she had died sooner but Joan would not care. She was a comedian so it was her job to says some really harsh things at time. She blasted Palestinians last month the Anne Frank too lol Truth is she made a fortune, lived well, worked until just hours before she died, did not suffer any pain or anything. She really likely died at the clinic where they were doing study to find if she had cancer of vocal cord. There are not vocal cords. There is but one so in medical they will say left or right etc.. I had exact same test but also surgery. There are risks with that test which increase with age so it could have been totally natural side effect but whatever the case, she outlived life expectancy slightly for women, was having a great time, obviously popular or book would not have been number one. She even said with straight face First Lady is a trans. That was a great joke and am sure First Lady being totally woman loved it. It got Joan more publicity for her book. She knew how to get the spotlight on her so the more shocking things she said the more attention which is how it works in that biz. I was in that biz mostly modeling sector but did some acting too so I know how it works which is different than those outside realize. Joan was not really a hateful woman. She gave to many wonderful causes in SECRET that will likely soon come out in public. She not only lived well but she helped make others wealthy too. Her funeral was just as she wanted it to be and she knew her time was near. She even said so in her last show. She had the talk with Melissa which is now public statement of what some of it was in writing so Melissa was prepared and everything went to her. Sure, Joan would have wanted to work to a hundred but her fears would have been to get sick and not be able to work so her fears never happened. She did it her way. She had ups and downs more than most less than others. Some of us have had loss of loved ones in bad ways, been flat broke only to make a huge comeback to so we know what is is both sides. We can appreciate how well Joan did it up. No, I wasn't some big fan of her's. I'm not a fan of really any celebrity but that is just how I am. I don't idolize anything in this one life. I do admire a few like Martha Stewart and other self made & dislike some like Trump but I don't hate him. I think he's a totally rotten person. Joan obviously liked him.

I came on here to see the funeral of a woman who made me laugh since for as long as I can remember.. what unfortunately I experienced after reading the comments down below is a ton of hate, vitriol, antisemitism and misogynistic comments. A person died.. can you oh so very brave youtube keyboard warriors not show the slightest bit of respect for the passing of a soul. Like her or not, like her comedy or not she was clearly loved by many and she influenced many, and she was a HUGE influence to female comedians. you talk like she was out there killing babies or causing wars.. yes she had plastic surgery, I bet you don't have the same opinions about all the pornstars you all probably whack off to, yes she was rude but that was her schtick, so are many male comedians.

So much hate in this world.. She was a human being who died, that's all. Almost everyday we lose a soldier oversees and you don't hear about it on the news. No one even knows when a soldier is killed unless there's multiple deaths in a single incident.. A soldier should get a red carpet funeral. Not an old lady who was rich and did nothing for her Country.
