5 ай бұрынHere is my red clay (barro rojo) method for making beautiful Mexican-inspired ceramic hearts - corazones. I taught this as a ceramic sclass and this was my model I created for students to create. you can also do this with air dry clay!
I used low fire terracotta clay
First firing was cone 04
I dipped in clear glaze and then the second firing was cone 06

I love Crayola air, dry clay, I use the terra-cotta one. It is so easy to work with.

Do you have to have a kiln or is there another option?

Hi! You can use air, dry terra-cotta clay, I like the brand by Crayola! You do not need a kiln for air dry clay.
