Here the 'Good', who previously played a Joker to ensure (Dynamite) Dave never left his horse alone, suggests on multiple occasions that Dave should blow up his horse with dynamite.

Watching the guys find nitro at the start of this and their hilarious reaction is still one of the best and funniest things in this series ‘look at his neck, that’s not right’ and ‘I see what’s happened here’ best reactions ever to a mangled horse corpse

You don't have to retrieve the saddle from the dead horse. If you lose a saddle, it'll respawn on your next horse when you visit a stable

I think if you look at Christmas Elf (couple years ago) you can see their hairdos look different on different episodes. Could be my imagination though. Doing it all in one or two goes would give them Christmas breaks from work of course.
