No, it's not like everyone trust Micah. As for Dutch. It was the peak moment that broke his mind completely. - The division between Arthur vs Micah. - He confused about which one of them to trust, his loyal gunslinger or the one that have "same vision" with him. - John, one of "his sons" suddenly appears and blames for leaving him to die. - Pinkerton, their nemesis arrives. - Micah shots Grimshaw, it broke a code. But Dutch has it all in his mind, that's why he stick with his ideal. To escape, since at that moment before Arthur arrive, they had all the money they need and already packing. "Who's with me and who's betray me?" Would be and easiest question to ask in a confusing and critical moment like that. I would do the same thing if I was in Dutch's position. They don't have time to think, they don't have time to find out. As with that question asked, Dutch points his guns to both Arthur and Micah. He slowly walks towards more open space, to escape of course. Micah is smart, he only sees Dutch needs loyal dogs. Henceforth he aims his guns to Arthur and walks slowly towards Dutch. Dutch only see that as Micah was on "his side". As for Bill and Javier. It's all matter of positions. They're always loyal to Dutch and that time they need to pick sides of course they will stick to Dutch. And that time, Micah was already close to Dutch side. For Javier and Bill, I can imagine that Bill just cares about chances of winning and for Javier, he dedicated his life to Dutch and his ideas. Pointing his gun against him would harm his principles, but he does not hate John and Arthur, he might even be sad about all that, because in this cutscene he seems very nervous, if he's thinking about who is right.

He was loyal to Dutch, but since Arthur and John were amongst the best gang members to Dutch, he viewed them as rivals. Not a friendly rivalry, I tell you. And then Dutch abandoning the gang as well, leaving him disappointed and he went on to create his own gang as we know in RDR. I don't remember what happen to Javier, probably seeing John working for Ross and hunting Bill down pisses him the fuck off. Javier was still the same man, I reckon.

If they do make a DLC, I hope it’s of Bill and Javier unsure what to make of Dutch anymore after the gang broke up. Then the two left Dutch to start anew. We can say the two were hired to work for Allende but Bill chose to stay in the US. As a sign of their friendship, Javier promised Bill a place he can stay should he go to Mexico. Javier did jobs for Allende and in return, Allende promised to take in and protect Bill should he end up in Mexico.

He was definitely faster than John at that point or the Epilogue, but John by the time of Red Dead Redemption 1 is a motherfucking beast who doesn't take shit from Landon Ricketts and singlehandedly won a revolution. They were likely evenly skilled if John wasn't even more skilled at that point.

If you look closely at the end, Javier points his gun to the sky instead of at Arthur because even the voice actor was against his character going fully against him.

They didn’t mention Arthur in RDR1, because he wasn’t a thought yet.

Javier was one of my favriote characters in RDR2 because of his loyality. I don't think he went with Dutch because he was more loyal towards him than he was towards Arthur. He went with Dutch because he had no clue what was going on, he came on screen after Arthur said Micah was a rat, he proably never heard, he simply didn't know what was fully going on.

That being said I don't who he would have sided with. Arthur remarks how Javier is one of the most loyal in the gang. So in that respect he could have went with Dutch. But I think he would have sided with Arthur because Arthur wasn't against Dutch in that last scene, no he was against Micah. Javier seemed to have regret in red dead redemption 1 in leaving John behind and if he knew that Dutch just left him behind because of a selfish reason I think he would have seen how broken the gang was, he would have seen that Micah was the cause of all of this and how damaged the man he looked up to. My thoughts, my theory.

What's sad is that many people would have done what Javier would have done in this scenario by hesitatingly lower the gun or aim the gun in the air. You're going to trust the person you knew longer but still wouldn't want to fight people you're close with.

Maître Obi-Wan Kenobi pretty sure Hosea had TB or Bronchitis which was a big deal back then. There’s times at camp where he can’t stop coughing at Clements point and at horseshoe overlook too maybe twice. At one point he couldn’t stop coughing in Clemens point and Lenny told him to sit down and Hosea talked about death and how he’s not doing well. Then Lenny and Hosea have a conversation at some point in the midst of chapter 3 and Lenny talks about if Hosea is scared of death. I think his time was coming to an end.

It would require New Vegas level choice and branching storylines, and given how detailed the world is I get why they didnt do that and stuck to one story line, but that would be the one thing that would have sealed RDR2 as the best game ever imo. Given total freedom like that I wouldnt have confronted Micah openly the way Arthur did, I know there was limited time since the Pinkertons were hot on your heels, but personally Id have keep my cards close, and just gone straight up behind him and took him out, plus his two buddys who would hostile immediately. Dutch may not have been pleased but I think once it was done, thered have been no time to discuss it. Especially since the Pinkies turned up right after. Better to ask forgiveness than permision.

I can see it from a different perspective. Seeing as how both Arthur and John come back to camp with Pinkerton following them Javier and Bill can be blinded by their loyalty to Dutch by thinking that both John and Arthur ratted on them upon the return which is why they took so long. Dutch is between a rock and a hard place having so many heists go wrong, so many people dead, and the fact that his long time companions are slipping away in his mind makes him turn away from his original vision and side with the real rat until it's too late.

Steven Yim sir I disagree solely for one reason, Dutch could’ve been listened to Arthur, Hosea even told him he was doing wrong. If a man that I’ve been friends with for 20 years says he needs to be out the gang, if a man who had my back for 20 years said 6 months ain’t enough to trust Micah. Then I’m not listening to Micah, Dutch listened to Micah and kept thinking about money when Arthur and Hosea both said that some of the jobs weren’t gonna work and they was making too many enemy’s. Usage of Hair pomade back then was considered far too feminine for a man and was used as a lubricant for homosexual activities. This could explain as to why Arthur tells Bill to never mention it again, which is the first time we see him do this is those random fetch favors. Also, we've never see him have any sort of connection with the women of the camp. Ross thinks of himself as no better than John Marston and actually acknowledges how much of an asshole he is. One could say Ross is the actual representation of the justice system.
