No it doesn't, since a few months ago they added real Native 1440p. It's not upscaled anymore we actually have 1440p now. I'm currently testing the quality difference of upscaled 2160p VS native 1440p. 1440p now looks way better then 1080p. Only thing we need is a 60fps update on PS5 that will be so good for the game.

​@@Slimebal_7They fixed something related to the upscaling, but the resolution wasn't fixed, the pixels are not well synchronized, I think It's 1920x2160, I've played games at native 4k and I can tell you this game looks bad on a big 4k display, the PS4 reproduces a better image in a 1080p display

That update was for the first game, the port they created for PS4/PS5 got a 60fps update. RDR2 is still 30 fps for both PlayStation and Xbox.

first of all this game is not updated for the ps5 nor upgraded, on the Xbox it is better because it’s in series X vs ps4Pro…..second of all ps5 can reach 4k at 60 and 120fps, better ray tracing on ps5 when you have the correct monitor and game.

The reason is that Xbox Series X version is based on previous Xbox One X version which runs on Native 4K resolution. On the other hand, PS5 version is based on previous PS4 Pro version which runs that game in 1440p resolution. It is sad!!

@@Bad_Company225 in real life comparison it is blurry next to the Xbox one x version, the Xbox version looks noticeably cleaner and with more detail because it’s running in native 4k (3840x2160p) whereas the PS pro version runs at 1920x2160p with checkerboard rendering to achieve an upscaled (if you will) 4k resolution, which leads to a blurry image in comparison to the Xbox one x version.
