I'm taking a super chill approach to this game lol strolling with my horse on the trails, greeting everybody I met, helping civilians. Sometimes just sit in the mountains and admire what the game has to offer. Also, because I'm bad with controller aiming, I'm a law abiding outlaw 😂 can't fight back when the law shows up

The best way to get honour boosts - go to Saint Denis, walk around and greet everybody. Every 4th greeting gets your honour points. There's so many people around, you'll make great progress in no time at all.

I have my Honor up pretty high, and I noticed that when I do the quick draw scenes that Arthur automatically aims at their hand. I love getting discounts at stores and the way most people leave me alone with a high honor rating. I just remembered something funny that happened yesterday. I was riding my horse to St. Denis and when I was almost there a stranger asked for a ride, so I agreed. He pulled me off of my horse and got on it, but little did he know that my white Arabian Daisy is fully bonded with me, so I just whistled and she bucked him off. I lasso'd, hog tied, looted, and then stabbed him to death with the fancy Nosferatu dagger, and my honor didn't go down for all that!!!

@@utkarshsarkar839 Thanks! It's a fun game for sure. I love when someone pulls me off of the horse now! Lately I've gotten into the habit of finding the enemy camps and killing them all with dynamite arrows or a sniper rifle and then burning all of the bodies.

I never played the first Red Dead Redemption, so I've been pretty lost as far as the story goes, but after watching some videos I think I get it now. I haven't even tried online mode. The thought of having to deal with real people in real time is unsettling to me.

@@schneir5 I got PS4 , I was going for XBOX one with it being the most powerful console out there but the exclusives were quite a temptation. And I'm NEVER trying the Red Dead online lol. I'm done with multiplayer games in general, I used to think I'm a good player then I jumped in some multiplayer games, it was going horrible haha. I kid you not, my first time in Apex and in first five minutes a little kid goes "noob" , it really breaks your spirit so I'll keep playing single player games and live in my bubble where I'm the best player there is.

Addendum: the cinematic camera option isn't perfect, so don't go make a sandwich. Can't tell you how many times my horse has run full speed into a wagon or another rider and once, trying to avoid a wagon, it walked right off a waterfall. (RIP Cabbage, ya beautiful brain dead glue factory.)

Best tip here. Upon discovering the cinematic camera I was Set upon by wolves, attacked by the odriscolls, AND flung head over feet into the lap of someone on a wagon as our two modes of transport collided head on violently. I have since quit using Cinematic for the most part, lol.

You missed how to tell if the horse is calm, check the ears if they’re back they’ll kick you but it they’re forward the horse is calm.

I never struggled to determine if a horse is agitated. Their body language is pretty descriptive. Also never stand behind a horse you don't own. That's a trust fall zone that often ends in 'fall' over trust.

DerDoenerInMir I don’t think so, most of the better horses seem to be in stables later in the game like saint denis, but there is the white Arabian in the grizzlies you can get after chapter 1

@@DerDoenerInMir Yes and no. The horses available to you depends on the chapter you are in. Over time the stables around the world will change their stock but they don't pass a certain quality threshold until you continue the story. In other words: Visiting one stable with 3 available horses to buy will tell you what quality of horses every stable in the game world has at that moment. I do suggest breaking a wild horse as those do not have a quality threshold but finding the more powerful or exotic can be difficult. Unless you google it.

Once you hunt with Hosea, go for legendary elk and legendary buck trinkets - increase in the amount you earn from looting and the likelihood of getting perfect pelts. Getting these early on is super beneficial

You can fast travel from other places for free, as long as you have the upgrade for Arthur’s wagon. You just need to set up camp in the wilderness and once you rest, the fast travel button will pop up with the rest of the options.

Absolutely 💯. Was looking for this- was annoyed they totally misled people. If you set up that camp (the kind anywhere), and go away from it, you can use it as a spawn point- whenever you choose the tent again, you'll automatically get taken back to where you set up your camp. If you go really far, it will be "torn down" automatically, but just wanted to add that if you were unaware (I'm guessing you knew though)..

The clothing/physical description etc is not true. The bandana is very simple. If someone sees you commit a crime with the bandana, they will not be able to describe you. The area will be marked and the lawmen will be looking for an "unknown suspect". If you leave the area you're safe. If however you come into contact with a lawman and he spots you or you shoot him you will get a bounty. With the bandana you can commit any crime, as long as you're gone before the law arrives. So in short: If you get caught by a civlian while NOT wearing the bandana, they will tell the law that it was Arthur who did it. If you wore a bandana they will look for an unknown suspect and you will NOT get a bounty. I don't know who started spreading this rumor but it's just that, a rumor and not true at all. Only the lawmen will be able to identify you with the bandana on, clothing and hair has nothing to do with it.

When aiming with a rifle with a scope equipped theres an option to toggle scope. While scope is toggled if you put an animal in your crosshairs it also tells you how many stars the animal is and gives you the option to track said animal. I do believe you forgot to mention that.

You actually don't have to be stationary to feed your horse. You can also do this, whille ridning at the slowest speed. The horse stimulators (or whatever they are called) can be used at all speeds.

It actually all blends seemleesly and i never feel like I'm doing chores, it's like when you played GTA and was like dang what if my guy got hungry and we had to eat? Or what if I got dirty and needed to bathe? Does the horse need food to live? Well the answers in rdr2 is yes. It makes it so alive

If you wanna buff your honor and raise it fairly quickly you can just walk around a town and greet EVERYONE you see. San Denis works best, you can max out your honor as youre exploring the town naturally.

Just started playing RDR2 and I found this IMMENSELY helpful! Some of this I knew, like whistling to your horse to throw potential thieves, but the majority of stuff I didn't know. There is so much going on in this game and I'm not a prolific gamer to begin with, so I'm well over my head/skill level here, but I'm fascinated with it and welcome any help I can get. Thank you!

While galloping on your horse press L3 to refill your horses outer core by a little bit, you can do this multiple times. Helps to keep your horse go for longer

5:03 Actually, you might be able to fast travel back to camp. When I set up a camp in the middle of nowhere, I noticed that it said I could fast travel in the “interact with camp” buttons. I don’t know if this is after I got the map or not, and I didn’t actually test out the fast travel, but it might be a possibility.

One extra tip is that it can sometimes be faster to find the provision you want by holding right on the d-pad and selecting it from there instead of the flicking through them all on the item wheel.

Always cook your meat with herbs for core boosts. I always have a few minted meat in my satchel as it gives you a golden core for a day (in-game).

RE: Fast Travel -- I don't know if this was a patch since this video was posted, but you CAN fast travel back to camp. After you buy Arthur's Map, it's an option in wilderness camps.

OMG. just started playing RDR2 on PC and wow....it's overwhelming! I love an in depth game like this. Just finished AC Odyssey (which is AMAZING) and RDR2 looks like it is going to be even MORE immersive. This is the kind of game you just take SLOW and EASY to really enjoy all the incredible details Rockstar created. Having fun in 2021! Enjoy this masterpiece everyone.

If I'm not mistaken you can fast travel back by setting up camp first.

watched this when i first started playing the game back in 2019. this video just popped up again so decided to watch it once more just to see how many of these things helped me out back then. great video as always and man, although RDR2 may not be my fav game ever (though its certainly up there), it is probably the best game ive ever played and itll take sth truly gargantuan to top that list for me.

That camera while going to a destination hands free is awesome. If tou like tour saddle it will appear if you go to a stable and enter.

Awesome guide, one thing you can do that wasn’t mentioned is you could fast travel back to your gang hideout when you set up camp through your horse item wheel.

You can fast travel from anywhere, you just need to set up a camp and there you'll have an option to fast travel.
