I applaud it. Especially since Euphoria was initially created by a biology lab to study the nervous system (it’s true). It’s incredible that we can mod and experiment with it. I also heard about TLOU2 devs that got PTSD having to research their animations via real life footage. Firehart had to do it for free… We are very lucky to have RDR modders😅

If something like this can become open sourced so that it can be used across game engines then we'd already have a good starting point for realistic violence in video games without having to force developers to develop traumas looking at irl gore medias.

The realistic gore mods actually make the game less gory as it removes blood spray on entry wounds, reduces splatters and makes entry wounds smaller.

Though I should mention when things do get gory like decapitations and dismemberment it's a lot more shocking and realistic blood pools are way more brutal than the vanilla circular blood pools.

Well, the human body doesn't just explode like a balloon when pierced. I've seen some real death videos, real deaths are incredibly...surreal. it doesn't look "real", insides want to stay inside til there is an insane amount of damage - at which point they are EVERYWHERE.

In some situations where your head not cosplayed watermelon your body become straight cuz brain send signal in almost every nerve at once and then you fall like a log and then your muscles slowly relaxes. At least this is what i can judge by one of the videos i wish i never saw. 🙁

Usualy when you see someone get shot in the head or in some vital points, their legs and arms get stiff from shock and they go straight down, like a plank. The walking animations and leg shaking are maybe realistic only in some cases, but it's still not an expected human reaction to a wound.

i can see the mod trying to imitate real death the way when getting shot the body still wants to stand while its rabidly dying so it takes those weird steps forward or backwards in a fight to stay upright then plops over as the person takes their last breaths. being on twitter, i’ve seen my fair share of g+re videos and can kinda see the resemblance. it’s interesting

It is compatible with PDO AEM is more cinematic and theatrical. You can get a lot of wild ragdolls, very fun to play with.

The most terrible thing is that the human body and spinal cord die much slower than the head, even receiving fatal injuries, ruptured limbs, rupture of the chest, splashing of the pelvis, any g#re, except for a severed or severe injury to the spine - all this causes terrible movements, the body tries to survive even when it is impossible. I once personally saw at factory a worker was pulled into a lathe, when the piece was stopped and the poor man’s disfigured body, wound like a rope, was removed, was still trying to move. Most realistic agony animations in AAA was in Assassin's Creed, when you kill guards, they mostly lying and scream painfully

yeah thats why I tried it again with Ped Damage Overhaul mod which completes the package. One bit that stuck with me was setting some guys on fire and they're just groaning and blinking on the ground, all burnt up up. It's on the pinned comment should you wanna check it out.
