Race 1 at Misano was red-flagged 🚩
The race was red flagged due to an incident at Turn 16 involving #29 Mia Rusthen and was postponed until Saturday afternoon at 16:00.

Update (12:57 p.m.): The initial diagnosis is that Mia Rusthen has suffered polytrauma. This means that she has suffered one or more injuries that are life-threatening. She was taken to the Bufalini Trauma Centre in Cesena for further examinations and treatment.

Acoording to NTB (a Norwegian news bureau) she is in serious but stable condition. She was put under general anesthesia at the track before being flown to Cesena. She has later been put into a medically induced coma awaiting a CT scan tomorrow. edit: latest. been through surgery to relieve pressure from brain hemorrhage. doctors reported they are happy with the result of the surgery.

@@Heinrich_Von_Schnellfahrer They have no idea yet of the outcome since she's still in an induced coma. The doctors being happy about the surgery just means they were able to do what they could in relieving pressure but the damage could've already been done. Hoping for the best.

According to a norwegian newspaper who spoke with the spokesman of the family, she has been put in induced coma. She had, according to the spokesman, alot of injuries, but they were mostly worried in regards to head injuries she could have received. Pray for Mia.

It seems they have a limited amount of cameras. No on board cameras either. They also don’t want to draw attention to all the crashes and tarnish what theyre trying to bud especially in the first ever race. Hard to ignore though

This is so cool to see. In the late 2000s racing 🏁 in the CMRA we had an awesome group of girls racing with us. These girl were fast an so competitive. Shout out to two fingers racing. MOFOJO.

Hope all the injured riders are ok - racing is racing - its not easy - also very interesting that some riders are doing everything on thier own - flights accomodations and all in between racing is very very tough - i hope dorna will be able to provide more assitance to the folks on thier own.. and most of the women have real jobs!! - good on ya

Well that is how it used to be for the men back in the day as well. They didn't have some organisation to pay for everything for them either, they had to work and build it up to what it is today.

This series is really nice to see . And about time that a full grid of women and lots of support from fans too. Anna carrasco and maria harrera were in moto3 as well and when they first joined i was quite proud that they were there . Tough class to join though . All those young lads were animals on track . Elbows and knees out everywhere . But since this is now a proper race series i love racing so il defo be showing by support by watching and cheering the ladies on . Might even invest in a few pieces of merchandise to show even more support . As it keeps sponsors in and shows more support for the girls . ❤❤

es importante que se vea el peso de los pilotos pues algunas son super pequeñas y no pasan de los 45 kilos mientras otras son mas altas y por lo tanto son mas pesadas

She’s in a coma still shes been flown to a hospital in Oslo, Norway near her family. She underwent surgery so now it’s the process of giving her time to wake up from the Coma. Won’t be getting any more updates for a while as her family gave this update this morning and asked for peace and quiet while they wait for her to hopefully wake up.

Looking forward to seeing this... riding a bike .. isn't about strength..a MAN has no advantage. Kinda sad, to see women set their sights low. It's just the first season.... EXAMPLE: Kyla in moto America... she's a strong women, kicking as competing with MEN... oh my. Lesser skills deserve lesser classes.
