I notice a few people are pointing out that the video is too similar to the original. I will say, I intended to make it a faithful parody to the original but with Pearl and Marina, but I see now I might have overdone it. I'm very sorry, I'll do better next time!

I don't see anything to apologize for. An affectionate parody can follow similar framing and poses and that doesn't make it less original in its own way. Plus you still have to draw all of that on your own. I don't think anyone could reasonably accuse you of somehow ripping off someone else just because there's some overlap in posing. Sometimes the internet just is too critical.

Hard disagree, this is a 10/10. It's a faithful parody but it's oozing perfectly with charm and jokes and visuals that would only make sense in a Splatoon setting, that's the perfect middle balance imo

To overly explain it, I expected the chorus to start off with the melody of a# g a# c a# and then continue with a# g c a# g with the ladder bar being the one which the song actually starts off with. I think that's why I enjoy it because it didn't go as I would expect and as I'm used to. It's interesting and cool to me :3

I like how the ending strays from the original actually And that’s why it ends there Like pearl is freaked out at first And at the end she just looks at marina. Ad marina has the sweetest smile Pearl realized she may have overexhadurated the situation and smiles at marina happily and with love (cuz she’s cute) (Honestly this whole thing could be interpreted as pearl finding out marina is a octoling, and panicking, but realizing she’s really no threat, she’s sweet) Compared to in the original the guy says no because he doesn’t want to say that in front of a woman he feels could kill him

I ship them too! I wanted to draw them in wedding outfits too, but unfortunately my back aches and carpal tunnel made me decide that I shouldn't spend more energy on it, so I ended it on this note :) Thank you for your support ❤
