Red Guy reminds me so much of a guy I went to Uni with. If it turned out he was playing the Red Guy the whole time, it wouldn't even surprise me because this is exactly the kind of thing he'd be doing.

It's funny that, in this series, Red Guy is way more vulnerable and oblivious to the teachers and his surroundings' antics than before, except in episode 5 of course.

I really like the way they changed his personality. He's still the straight man of the group but he joins in a lot more. I think I like all the changes they made In this series, all the characters talk more in general and you get to see their personalities more often

I think it's safe to say that red guy is kind of the squidward of the group.

red guy naturally knows something is off more than the others, but he desperately represses that thought remembering how many terrifying things happen when they break out of the daily routine

i'm always a fan of the sort of "straight guy" characters, and i appreciate how Red Guy is that but also he has his own moments where he goes off the deep end into the insanity of the show.

Red guy is constantly showing that he's self aware but there also isn't a shortage of times he also delves into the insanity that everyone else meddles in.

My head theory: I think what happened in between the web-series and the show is that the red guy, and to an extent the yellow one, felt really sad that their friend duck is really dead. And that the only thing keeping him alive is the show. So they went to Leslie, the new puppet master/human, to help them keep the status quo. If you really look back at the show, red and yellow guy don’t really get killed off (they get hurt but not really die). It’s only duck that gets killed off. At the end of episode 6, Leslie just has a drawer full of duck puppets, but not a drawer for red and yellow guy. That would mean that yellow and red don’t really, or can’t die. On the same episode (6), red guy pretty much said “ I would like to see the house again… and you” when he was talking to duck the whole time. This pretty much tells us that red still has a soft spot for his friends. Maybe he knows that duck was already dead? Maybe Red knows he’s in a show, but tries to ignore it for his fallen comrade? It’s all speculation, but I really don’t see any other reason why red guy is in the show. We’ve seen red leave and end the nightmare, so why can’t he just do it again?

He's either chill or losing his shit in his delivery, never in between, it makes every time he goes from one to the other funny because you never know what to expect

I really like how Red Guy talks, it reminds me of myself. Generally quiet and monotone, and kinda frightening when screaming.

actually my favorite used to be red guy too but after the TV series, I actually found myself really loving duck. which was weird as he used to be my least favorite character. but all of the jokes duck has just completely hit every time

I love how they don’t know where they are or what they are doing. All they can tell you is what they know and what they are doing. They don’t know what life is and they are just piecing everything together. Red guy is slowly getting tired bc he kinda knows what’s going on and wants to learn more about the world like in episode 4 with the computer. He always had that intention and now he’s ready to escape the kid life, have a job, a car, a family, and everything that society has but independently. Having peace again as an adult bc all he ever had was childhood trauma and corrupted education.

It's such a creepy show, but what makes the dark humor work so well is they embrace the campiness of it. They don't treat it like a horror show or a comedy show. It's just a regular everyday situation to them. They don't even swear [often]. I think Red guy just likes making light of things. He's just enjoys explaining things. Kinda like what I'm doing. Duck is my favorite character by the way.
