I have to say, I love how different this one is from your first Red Hood tune. Whereas the other one is louder and more outgoing about his rage, this one is calm but shows the rage is bubbling to the surface and can burst out at any moment. The TN art is incredible too. One thing I want to bring special attention to. The background “Shoot em’!!” we hear when the “I expected you to wreck him.” line came up. The flavor of that simple shoot em’ line does to much to remind me of how confused, betrayed, hurt he was to be revived only to find the joker still running around. Little things like this beyond anything else, and there’s so much to appreciate with dps, convey that he pays attention to the motivations of the characters he covers and it’s why he’s by a far measure my absolute favorite artist of any medium on any topic. He’s a multitalented coordinator of music, language, and emotion. While there’s a lot of talent out there it’s obvious that his consistency of excellence isn’t a product of right place right time. He’s a masterclass entertainer and I hope his life away from the music brings him the contentment and joy deserving of his character. Bless you, Dps.
