Frusciante has always been great, but imagine if Hillel didn't get all this time stolen from his addiciton. Rest in peace Hillel one of the greatest funk guitarist.
@MrJboogiee5 ай бұрын
He was a good guitar player,but steady funk before you make a statement like this...because he was not one of the greatest funk guitar players at all...not even in the ballpark!..do your history!
@coldacre4 ай бұрын
@@MrJboogieewho cares how he ranks, that’s not what music is about. simple fact is Hillel was the only guy playing heavy dirty funk in the early 80’s: like Jimi played. in 1983 music was all synth based. RHCP went against the grain. that’s why they’re first 3 albums didn’t sell. Hillel was a pioneer. it took the rest of the world 8 years to catch up. they were Frusciantes favorite band in the world for a reason. have a little respect for a departed funk brethren. RIP Slim
@runnersdialzero12444 ай бұрын
@@MrJboogiee you missed his point entirely. He was talking about Hillel's potential as a guitarist and creative force that was unfortunately cut short due to his death at such a young age.

We still keep you in our thoughts and hearts Hillel. And Johnny, we absolutely love what you're up yo don't stop you're making the world better but we still need you to rejoin one last time and make a soul stew with your brothers before it's too late. People forget or just weren’t around to remember how mind-blowing this was at the time. Blood Sugar Sex Magik opened up the whole alternative thang for Nirvana to come right through.
